I'm sorry, I am having trouble finding the words in my post where I exerted authority of maritime laws? If you translated me questioning if a specific type of light being on a door was safe/legal/allowed as me exerting maritime authority, I sincerely apologize.

Clearly we all have a common goal and its to come up with creative ideas for the OP's father to find his room. I questioned the safety and legality of one of the suggestions. You got defensive. Ultimately, I want the OP to have a great time and for her father to be able to locate his room as easily as possible without any issues and I am going to assume you do too.

I won't respond to your accusation of getting defensive BTW. Nice try with the passive aggressiveness! Was that your major? Or did you just date someone who knew about it?
