Sept 16 2012 - WONDERing who's on the Calif Coastal with me?!

100 days until our cruise sets sail!!
party:

Thanks for the reminder! I switched my manual/paper countdown calendar (made & gifted from my BFF & travel buddy) from weeks to days. Happy to be able to flip the numbers over everyday now instead of once a week! :thumbsup2

For all of you with Disney Visa, I'm sure you received the email last week. If you use your Disney Visa to pay for the cruise, you can apply code "DCC" (by 8/15). During the cruise you'll receive The Art of Pixar: The Complete Color Scripts and Select Art from 25 Years of Animation book.

Yes, it specifically says you can apply this to an existing booking; we were so excited! To apply it, contact your TA or call 1-800-257-2024.

We have a DIsney Visa and didn't get this notice (maybe went to spam?). Thanks for sharing!

update: just called it in and was told that we're not eligible for the book because we booked onboard and got a 10% discount when booking onboard and that can't be combined with any other offers, even if it's just a book and not a credit :(

But at least we're paid in full now and excited to book things onboard soon in a few days!!!

Obviously I don't know all the details of your reservation, but you might want to call again. We had also booked this trip on-board (w/ 20% discount; see "8 night Western" TR in my signature) and our TA indicated she had no problem applying this code for us.

In case you haven't noticed our time in San Diego has been extended. The "all abroad" was changed from 7:30pm to 9:30pm! This trip just keeps getting better & better!

Nothing special, just booked it onboard with 10% off last year, no other discounts and our TA at DU said we would have to make the payment over the phone to add this code but then the person over the phone said there is no way DCL will allow them to apply a code since I got the 10% on board booking discount. Sending an email to my TA now to confirm...(also, 20% off! lucky!)

Oooh I hate not living in your country - there are heaps of goodies we miss out on - Boo Hoo :( However, as each day goes by I am getting more and more excited.

We received email from DCL last night. We booked the "Views of SF - Adult Only" Port Adventure for our first day in SF. As an FYI, the depart time has changed from 9:30am to 8:15am.

(Since it's early in the cruise and we'll be excited, we're keeping our booking. However, no way to I want to wake up early for the rest of the trip!) :coffee:

Oooh thats an early start Gayle!!! I have made some FE gifts today and our Fish Extender :) Exciting times!

And we are 89 days away....Online check-in is done! Palo brunch and excursion booked! :cool1: Beginning on FE gifts in 4 days (when my kids are out of school) :hyper: Can't sit still...think about the cruise all the time. Can't wait for September!

Stephanie we are the same - I eat breathe and dream the cruise (well our whole trip :) ) Our booking window opens up - am hoping for Palo brunch though I would be guessing it will be sold out. and some sort of excursion in Ensenada... we shall see what there is for us first timers :)

I recently booked my Palo brunch and one port adventure. I was disappointed to discover that the Night Tour of Alcatraz and Saulsalito is full. Since I've been to all these ports many times I wasn't really into the port adventures. It's all about the ship and Disney-Pixar for me.

The night tour of Alacatraz is not full, its unavailable. From researching it, there are no night tours of Alcatraz on Tuesday's and Wednesday's. So, there is no way through Disney or a third party to book the night tour.

It will be grayed out if its full or unavailable.

Don't give up hope on Palo...last year was our first cruise and I was able to get reservations for dinner and brunch. I think I even logged in a few days after my available date because I didn't know back then how quickly the reservations go. We ended up cancelling our brunch though so I'm happy we got a spot this time. Here's hoping you get one! :)

Greetings all!
I'm Samantha, my husband Will and I will be taking our first cruise ever on the 16th of September. We will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary as well as my graduation from nursing school. Our anniversary was actually back in May but since I'm in school we didn't really get a chance to celebrate.
We were SO excited when we found out this cruise would be a PIXAR themed cruise. After the cruise we will be spending a few days in Disneyland. We are 20 and 21 years old and couldn't be more excited about this trip. Can't wait to meet you all! :)

I see people are doing a FE! We would love to get involved. How many are participating?
As of now we have 6 staterooms participating in the FE exchange. :earsboy:

I'm keeping a list -- if anyone else would like to join us please see post #106 for all of the details:
http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=44933482&postcount=106

We should close the list about a month ahead, so I'll collect information until August 15th then send out the details.

If anyone is starting to work on their gifts here is a breakdown of what we have so far:

"Dennes" - 1 adult male, 1 adult female, 2 male children (9 & 5 yrs old)
"Moutain Tigger" - 1 adult male, 2 adult female, 2 female children (7 & 5 yrs old)
"Stefnted" - 1 adult male, 1 adult female, 1 male child (10), 1 female child (7)
"CruiseTink" - 1 adult male, 1 adult female, 2 male children (13 & 10 yrs old)
"Sunshine1259" - 1 adult male, 1 adult female
"TinkHon" - 2 adult female

Looking forward to it!
Susan

Silly questions --

We have always done the Disney cruises on the east coast, and one night they always have a Pirates IN the Caribbean Party. Do they have a Pirate Night/Party on the west coast cruises??? pirate:

Thanks

As far as I know they will have the Pirates IN the Caribbean party. I know they have had it for some of the Alaska cruises (weather permitting). I have a question: are we doing one FE or a few? Like maybe a "Welcome A Board", a pirate theme, and a Farewell. I think it would be fun especially for the kids to get numerous things. Also do you think everyone could let Susan know if you have allergies. I just got to thinking I would hate to give someone a cand y bag with snickers in it if they couldn't eat it due to a peanut allergy. Or give someone a special Disney cookie if they have a gluten allergy. If everyone doesn't mind customizing for the people who have these allergies it will just add to the magic! :) (Listen to me! I graduate nursing school at the end of August and so for the time being I eat, sleep, and breathe overanylizing stuff like that. It's annoying, even to me. And my poor DH ;))

Also Susan I PMed you our info but here it is again:
1 Adult Male and 1 Adult female. (Samantha and Will)
Deck 6, Stateroom 6633 Aft, Standard Inside Stateroom.
No Allergies ;)
We are celebrating our first anniversary which happened back in May but we didn't really get to celebrate since we are both full time students. As well as celebrating my graduation from nursing school (it's about time!)
