I heard that there is a great fish and chips place in the UK pavilion in WS. Is this true and what is the name if one exists?
And, if you have tried it, is it worth it?

It's called the Rose and Crown Pub. I've tried it and I like it very much. You can go in for table service that also offers other dishes like prime rib or get the fish and chip at a walk-up outside. We go to the Rose and Crown every trip.
We tried the walk-up window on our past trip and thought it was very good. DS has already requested that we go back there on our next trip. And he's usually pretty picky.
I don't normally order fish like this, but it was WONDERFUL!! You get a huge piece, too. You can either order at the walk-up window, or you can get it inside at the restaurant. We'll be going back on our first day when we go in September.
You can get Fish and Chips at the Rose and Crown -0 the sit down restaurant. The Yorkshire County Fish & Chips Counter Service restaurant is right next door. We at there on a night when there was a slight line so the fish and chips were hot, fresh and tasty. No time to lay under a heating lamp to get lukewarm and greasy. I would eat there again.
We ate great on our trip last Feb. so I can't really complain that my DH and DSis wanted to eat here almost every day (at least we split one order for a snack). Staying at the BWI made it WAAY too convenient for them to get their fix of fish and chips. They are both requesting several repeat trips just to get more.
Not a fan of anything fried, but . . . . the fish & chips are divine - especially if you get there as they open or specifically ask your server for some "fresh fried" - YUMMY!!!!
Had the fish and chips inside at R&C--major disappointment(soggy). Tried the fish and chips at the take out window and Like Long John Silver's in heaven R&C was dinner, take away window was lunch.
got it at the take out twice... both times one piece good, one piece soggy?????but the good piece made it worth it ! only problem with the take out is they close the seating area down at dinner time ( before 6pm when we were there, evidently to keep people from taking those tables and waiting for illuminations???) so there is no place to sit to eat it unless you can find an empty bench and the curbs are to short to sit at unless you have really bendable knees.
