Fish and Chips Review?

I think I have eaten at just about every place in Epcot except this one, what is your opinion. I'm not bothered by fried foods if hot but I'm not too keen on greasy and room temp.

I love fish and chips, but I have never liked the fish in the United Kingdom. (I'm assuming that's where you were talking about.)

The fish batter is flavorless, and the fish itself is, well, different from all other fish and chips I've had. The fries are good.

If you get the fish and chips craving, try the Columbia Harbour House in MK.

Well, here is yet another perfect example of personal preference, and difference of opinion. The fish and chips at the fast food stand in the UK are a favorite of our family. While we have also tried the same at the Rose & Crown (sit down restraunt), I have always found the fast food version better. While I would assume the cooking process is the same, the FF stand version does not sit around waiting to be served to your table, this makes a big difference in quality! Anyway, as far a English style fish & chips go, I would have to say that they are top notch!

The fish and chips are tasteless and greasy. I wouldn't eat them again if they were given to me! We had always looked forward to trying them and finally did in October. Yuck!

We tried the fast food fish and chips in UK a few weeks ago and it was very good. I thought it was quite a bit better than the fish and chips served at Rose and Crown. Definatly try it!

At rose and crown you are served a large piece of fish. At the fast food window you are servd 2 small pieces of fish. People seem to prefer the 2 smaller pieces to the large piece.

The fish we ate at the rose and crown a few years ago was greasy and soggy. We were VERY disappointed (and didn't eat it). I have heard the Yorkshire fish stand was better.

me and my husband eat at the fast food window in april last year after hearing such great reviews, we could not eat it. It was very greasy and soggy.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. My mum is from England and I've gone over with her several times . Nothing beats the 'real thing' wrapped in newsprint with a good malt vinegar. I have't been in quite a few years now tho.

Mixed reviews on the fish n' chips in Epcot from me. There are times it has been crispy and not greasy and other times it has been soggy and greasy. I guess it's a hit or miss or depends how hungry you are.

I had the fish and chips at R&C in December and was disappointed. Long John Silvers has better f&c.

We go to Rose and Crown on almost every visit to Epcot, and we have yet to have a bad meal there.. We really have enjoyed the Fish and Chips (although I am sure they are probably better in the real United Kingdom. ) I also have enjoyed the Shepherd's pie numerous times. Enough so that we bought the Disney World Cookbook and my wife will make it at home on occasion...

To each his own I suppose. It always amazes me that for every person who likes a restaurant there are others that dislike it. Different Strokes for different folks, I assume..

Mixed reviews from me also. I loved the fries, but I found the fish to be greasy and not very good. I'd definately eat there again, but only order the fries.

I don't even like the chips there either! DH has had the real thing in England and the fast food ones at the R&C. He said the R&C ones were horrible and that McDs filet fish was less greasy and more flavor! LOL!

As someone from the UK I can honestly say ive never had fish and chips as bad as at the rose and crown. ABC Commishionary serves a reasonable fish n chips but even then the batter could have been a little crispier

I know that traditional British Fish and Chips are served with vinegar but do they have tatar sauce available at the Rose and Crown? I was originally going to eat here on my first trip to Epcot 7 years ago but I haven't made it there yet. I have a priority seating in May for lunch. I may order the F&C but not sure.
