First weekend of F&W...

I heard the first weekend can be really busy due to locals coming, too. Would it be less crowded the Monday after, ya think?

Also, wondering what the hours are for F&W. Could we walk the booths for lunch instead of dinner? Are the booths open then? Think that would be less crowded, too?

Is there alot of entertainment too, or no?

Well, I'm a local and I will definitely be there! It's usually crowded every weekend of the F&W Festival because that is when most of the locals go. I think you would be better waiting till Monday if you can. The booths are open the same hours as the WS, so yes, you can do lunch instead of dinner. Or lunch AND dinner - there's a lot of food!!

The last two days of my trip are the first two days of F&W (Fri & Sat Oct 1 & 2). I was planning on going Friday afternoon and into early evening. Should I plan on shoulder to shoulder crowds and long line ups to get samples? Do you think the first Friday might would be a better choice than the Saturday? Thanks, Jo
