First weekend of F&W crowds

We are thinking about doing a quick trip to do F&W again. The dates that seem to be working out for us would be for the first weekend. How are the crowds both at the festival and just in the parks in general? We went the first week last year but not on the weekend and the dates were earlier last year.

I've heard that F&W is very busy the first week and I know first hand that weekends are very busy.

We have the same thing going on. Our dates work out that we can either do the first weekend at the end or the first week. I've heard the festival is busy but the parks themselves are pretty good. We don't really have an option so were okay with the crowds.

I think we are going to have to just deal with it if we decide to go. Last year we kind of liked the lines for the food booths. It gave you time to digest.
