First Week of September?

I have a friend trying to plan a first trip (she's been before, but not often) for her and her husband, and she's wondering about the first week of September. Is the Tuesday right after Labor Day going to a lot more crowded than a normal Tuesday? They really want to go before Space Mountain closes for the overlay, but they want the lowest crowds they can get within that week (in a two-day period; they're going to do 1-day, 1-park) Her husband isn't really on board with the whole Disneyland thing, so they don't need to do everything, but she wants to do most of the thrill rides without -too- much of a wait, so he'll have a good first-time experience. (They'll probably skip RSR this time, too, so that should help) Thoughts on how busy that Tuesday and Wednesday might be? (Sept 3rd and 4th)

We went during that week in 2010 it was fabulous! Low crowds and perfect weather. There was hardly any wait time. Definitely avoid labour day weekend but the days immediately after we're perfect in my opinion
