My son's High School Band will be playing in the parade the 1st week of February. What's it like during that time of year? Crowds and weather? I know the parks close early, but do the restraunts and night spots around the Boardwalk close earlier as well?
The band and chaperones are staying off site, while myself and other parents are staying on property. This means we can go out after the kids leave and have some fun for ourselves. :cool1:
There are a few places I've always wanted to see, but the kids were never interested.

Thanks

Both are variable. The crowds should not be to bad though. However be prepared with the weather. It can be shorts or pants and sweaters with coats in the evening. It is the time I pack the most clothes for my vacation as we are never sure what the weather will be. One year we had left our winter coats in our rental car when we got off the plane. We were really glad we did one evening at Fantasmic! :earboy2: It was COLD!! But we were comfortable in our winter gear. :cool1:

We have been to WDW the first week of Feb. the last two years and the weather is very changeable. Some days we swam higher 70's and one or two days there were frost warnings. In '04 the crowds were very light, in '05 it was much busier. I do think most of that is just tourism picking up. We stayed at the BCV and the boardwalk had everything open later than most of the parks. Overall it is a great time of year to go. :sunny:
