Wondering if anyone has been to Disney the first week in December.. How are the crowds? We had planned to go over Thanksgiving of 2004, but are now reconsidering that time due to numerous people telling me that it's very crowded. So, we're looking at the first week of December. Any thoughts?

When do the crowds clear out from Thanksgiving? What would be the first good day to tour the parks after Thanksgiving?

DH & I will be arriving late Sunday night after Thanksgiving. Has anyone had any experience with how the crowds are after Thanksgiving? I would suspect that crowds are still pretty high on Saturday.

The Tuesday after Thanksgiving is usually the time when the Thanksgiving crowds have dimished.

I love going to first week of December. The crowds are almost non-existent, the weather is beautiful and the Christmas decorations and theming are just fantastic. Be sure to schedule some resort hopping time to visit the deluxe resorts.

We went in Dec 2002 to WDW and on Wonder and we had mixed feelings. Although we enjoyed the decorations and the low attendance, it was rainy and c-c-cold much of the trip. (And we know cold, we are from Chicago.) We were in shorts some of the time, but the locals were wearing gloves. The second week of December will probably have less people as the Thanksgiving break folks will have cleared out. princess:

Hi - I can't tell you what it is like the entire week of Thanksgiving. But I can tell you what it is like Thanksgiving weekend and the week after. We arrived the day before Thanksgiving last year and stayed through the first week of December. The crowds thin out the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We went into the parks every day we were there - We spent Thanksgiving morning in MGM and left around 1 or 2 when it started to get packed. Fri morn my DH played golf and then we spent the afternoon & evening in Epcot. We just stayed away from rides like Test Track & Mission Space and did just fine. Sat was spent in the MK and although crowded, we did just fine with fast pass. Sunday, we went back to the MK around noon and stayed for MVMCP that eve. The crowds were not bad at all on Sunday. During the following week, everything was a walk on. I think we played buzz at least 15 times in a row and walked on each time. We did TOT twice in a row. Got a fast pass (1 hour come back time) for Mission Space. We rode Test Track twice while waiting for Mission Space. It is a GREAT week to go. We buy AP's and alternate between this week & 2nd week in Dec so that we can get 2 trips out of the AP. Weather is great & the Christmas decorations put you in the Holiday mood. You will have a great time that week. :D
