My family and I have some time off the first week in March. How is that time of year at WDW? Thanks for any info.

The weather is beautiful usually. I've never toured then, though. I'm going to bump this back to page one for you so that some of our March veterans can offer you advice.

We went the first week of March 2003 (and always have, since I was a child) and plan another trip for March 1-9 2004. We stayed at AKL and had no problems there with crowds, although on the Sat. and Sun. the hotel became noticeably (but not badly) more crowded -- the effect of local tourists we were told. As for the parks, we followed the advice of folks on this board and the touring plans in the UG and had no problems at all. Could we do anything we wanted at any time of day with no lines? Unfortunately, no. But I can't recall even one moment of thinking "This is insane." And people had told us to be worried because it was spring break for U. of Florida!

Weather was PERFECT as usual for us in March.

Good luck!

We went the second week of March in 2002. By that time there were a lot of people on Spring Break(as we were). We had some friends go the first week of March 2002 and they said the crowds were light but a cold front came thru and droped the temps down in the 40s-50s.

I think the crowds grow larger thru the month leading up to Easter.

Even with the larger crowds we did most everything we wanted.

Have fun!
