Hi everyone..we are heading down the the Happiest Place on Earth the first week of December...Dec. 2-8. I have heard so much speculation on weather or not the MVMCparade is going to be that week which may up the crowd level..anyone know if this is true??
Thanks a bunch.

Hi,
This is our fourth year doing WDW for our end of Nov/early Dec trip. Based on dates the parade took place in the past 3 years, my guess is the parade will be on Sat Dec 3. Many folks love going to MK for the parade. Me? I stay as far away as possible. :crazy2:

Maybe someone else can post with an exact date.

Tink

According to WDW official web site MVMCP [with parade] will be celebrated in November on the 27th and 29th and in December on the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 15th 16th, 18th, and 20th. Since it is so early I'm sure that these dates are subjsct to change at least until early November.

Edited to add; I just checked a calendar and not one of these dates is a Saturday. I wonder if these are last years dates.

They are the right dates because we have tixs on the 8th.

i think they meant the filming of the televised christmas parade

I have a very early ADR at CP (prior to park opening) on December 3. I had plans to hit Big Thunder and Splash Mtn and then leave the park. Should I change my ADR and not even go there? I did not know about the parade prior to making my ressies. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry to confuse, I meant the televised parade as well. I have heard some say that it does not affect anything but main street, and others day its swampped and stay away completly...anyone else have any advice or knowledge on the subject?

I went the first week in December the last 2 years and LOVED IT! Yes, they film the television parade that week and if you go really early in the morning, crowds are manageable. It gets more crowded as the day goes on. I say, go for your ADR at CP and do the rides you want and high tail it outta there! On your way out, maybe you can catch a glimpse of some celebs while they are taping the parade! Last year (or the year before), I saw Clay Aiken, Mariah Carey and the girl from That's so Raven. It was a lot of fun to see them all! (even though they weren't REALLY singing and they did the same lyric over and over and over, until they got just the right shot... :rolleyes1 )

Thanks Luv! I will keep my CP ressie, hit the mountains and then go to MGM.
