I and my family are going to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida for two weeks but I'm just wondering can you squeeze everything in :) it's the 24th of March we are flying over to Orlando can't wait

I would advise you to have at leAst a rough plan of how to use your time, otherwise you may end up frazzled, some of us on here use spreadsheets;) you can do a whole lot in 2 weeks, enjoy planning :cool1:

What parks are you planning on visiting?

I'm going with my mum and stepdad and 2 wee sisters and we plan to visit Walt Disney World Resort itself, Universal, Seaworld etc :)

It really depends on what your opinion of everything is :goodvibes

On our first trip we did the Disney theme parks, Seaworld and both of the Universal parks. We also managed to get married-which took several days out of the holiday. We did things like meet the wedding coordinator, get the licence, the wedding day and then some honeymoon photos a few days later.

we still managed to do most of the usual Disney things, go on most of the rides and experience a few of the restaurants.
you will feel like youve done everything! :thumbsup2

Everytime you go youll find new things to experience and do :goodvibes

We usually just pencil in a park for each day, perhaps organise a meal around that park or somewhere close by. you can then work around the day when youre on holiday.:goodvibes

Although it depends on how little the wee ones are ;)
A lot of time could be taken out for them to rest, eat etc.

Im sure youll have a brilliant time.xxx :)

PM me if you'd like a look at the spreadsheets from our last 2 visits (2007 and 2010)

for two weeks with little ones, personally I would just figure in doing the main parks with chill out days in there as well. Realistically you should be able to do all of WDW, Universal and Seaworld with maybe a shopping day or two thrown in. But NEVER under estimate just how big the place is and how far you will be walking! (make sure your walking shoes/trainers are worn in before you go)

Have fun planning it all but remember to look up and smell the roses you will love it!

As I always say to people who are going - no matter how much you try, you'll not fit EVERYTHING into two weeks. Just far too much to see and do and you'll end up hating it as you become more grumpy as the weeks go by, due to tiredness and stress.

You're better off peeking around the website for Disney World, Sea World, Universal etc and scribbling down things that are must-see's for you family and then things that maybe you'd like to do if there's time, followed by 'bonuses' if you happen to stumble across them.

That way, you know you'll fit in something for everyone and have a great time. As others have said, if you have little ones, you'll need some time out at the pool at the hotel/villa etc. Then again, even us adults need down-time, it can be a demanding holiday!

And don't forget, whatever you don't see this time, you'll see when you all return ;) 'Coz I'm pretty sure that by the time you've all been and seen what you can on this trip, you'll be hungry for more! :thumbsup2

Have a fantastic holiday!

We are going for the first time in October with 3 kids - 12, 8 and 5. I have decided to just 'do' Disney and save the other parks for a return visit. I want to do MNSSHP and maybe the MVMCP too. I also want to visit the water parks, have a few chillout days and take our time around the parks. We also have free DDP and intend to make the most of that by having some nice meals. It depends on the stamina of your party but I have sacrificed doing it all and will instead do what we can at a more leisurely pace.;)

I like touring plans.com - costs a few $ to suscribe but gives you best park to visit each day and times of parades etc.

We just did disney in 2010 and in 2011 did everything but disney.

14 days at just disney gives you chance to do most things at a nice pace.

As it is going to be our first time going to Florida how do you get to the Florida Mall, and how far is it from the resort. We are staying Lake Buena Vista your help would be appreciated:)

We managed to sqeeze in all the Disney parks, both Universal parks, Seaworld, Busch Gardens and both Disney water parks in 2 weeks but we needed a holiday at the end of it:rotfl: We went in march and the lines/queues were small. Our longest wait was for hulk and that was only 20mins. Make sure you take some well worn shoes/trainers with you *** you WILL be walking miles.
The best website i've found for directions is mapquest.com if you type in lake buena vista to florida mall it will give you the directions which you can print out and take with you, it also lets you reverse the directions with just one click.
Hope you have an amazing vacation :wizard:

I agree with the whole of this post, but I definately think it's wise to do a little research and see what would fit you and your family best.

I also agree that you'll be hungry for more and you will want to go again. It amazing me how you can go around the whole of Disney in two weeks and when you go again they can throw something different at you. :goodvibes

Hope you have a fun trip x

Agreed.

I have an AP pass that's almost up and I am constantly there, and still have not come close to seeng everything. I think this is why people keep coming back to it, it's that huge.

You will need to decide if you are a group of planners or go with the flow. If you are planners, I would create a touring plan and follow it. If you are go with the flow, then do some research ahead of time for your must do's so that you don't forget.

Have a good trip :)
