This entire resort is really stunningly beautiful! While I won't purchase points here because I need 1 and 2 bedroom units, I'm stunned by how gorgeous this resort is!

Monorail access with instant access to the parks and absolutely stunning landscaping and architectural design throughout. We're in Moorea 3023 and while my photos are computer enhanced, take a look at this breathtaking view:

We stayed there in January...I think the room right below yours on the second floor. We fell in love too! You can't beat the views and the grounds are beautiful.

What did you think of the ferry horns? I heard them the first couple times and they didn't bother me after.

Breathtakingly beautiful shots. So happy you got the third floor, David. Have fun!

Can't wait for our stay in May for our first DVC stay at the Poly. Hoping we'll get a view like yours! I did request higher floors.

We bought a fixed week lake view during F&W and we love that view.

And couldn't get any easier with the TTC right there for the Epcot monorail. Lovely. Jealous!

One night coming back from the MK the monorail was down, I had just missed the Polynesian/Grand Floridian boat and I instantly went hey wait no issue - the larger ferry to the TTC and in the end it was probably the quickest back to room anyway.

I've been back for weeks and my Polynesian stay is still in my head.

I'm really changing with my DVC stays. Choices in transportation is paramount for me. And when two out of the three are boats. Well for me, heavenly.

As OP mentioned, 1 and 2 BR unit offerings would have been great. We stayed in a studio for 2 nights prior to our BC villa stay and i wasn't that impressed. We needed more room.

Yes, Mr. PTato, I could hear the ferry horns all night BUT you're asking someone who can sleep in bright daylight standing up! The 3 other adults in the room all slept soundly so the slight inconvenience of the ferry horns apparently didn't bother them. No one even mentioned the ferry horns so while you can hear them, it's not a big enough distraction to prevent you from sleeping (especially after a day a Disney World).

And Yes Lisaviolet, you are completely correct - this certainly is a charming resort which can certainly be enjoyed on it's own even without visiting any park visits! And instant access to the monorails AND boats is simply Wonderful.

By the way, my 2 year old Grand Daughter absolutely adores the Murphy Bed (it's her "big girl" bed). I love the Lilo and Stitch mural on the inside wall and the "interior light" inside the bed housing is a FABULOUS touch for any 2 year old!!!!

Best wishes,
Dave

Recent 1 night May stay on way to Vero and also for F&W Oct '15. LOVE the Poly, beautiful resort!:thumbsup2 Love the 2 bathroom layout. :cheer2:We were in Tokeleau standard both stays and were very happy there. I am a light sleeper and had no problem with the boat horns. Think that in Moorea, certainly lakeview, boat horns are louder. ENJOY the Poly!:goodvibes

Gorgeous photos! How much do you charge per hour for a wedding?

I am leaving Sunday morning for the Polynesian for our first visit!! We own there, my wife and I are super excited!! We've walked through the demos there a few times and were in love with the resort. Can't wait to stay there and fully enjoy what the resort has to offer!

I have to agree with you. We have never stayed at poly before because you weren't guaranteed a balcony.
When they built DVC i was very happy knowing I could stay at a studio. Fuggetabout point values on Bungalows.

We own at WLV and that has been my favorite along with Boardwalk.
I had same view as you. Wishes from Balcony...heaven!

Pool side with beautiful view of lake.....Lush tropical surroundings!

I love, love, love the studio. 2 bathrooms, murphy bed is soon adorable my DD 14 loved it.

Sooooo yes Polynesian is now my favorite DVC. Only one I haven't tried so far on property is GFV.

We just completed our first stay there the first week of June and must agree that it was a wonderful treat!! Just wish we owned more points so we could stay there more often. It was beautiful and the studio was so spacious (although I always feel like they could devote a few more inches to the kitchenette countertop size). The transportation convenience was amazing - we really felt spoiled. Hope we can plan another stay there again before too long!

I am booked there for 3 nights in early december in a lake view and now am super excited. I just hope that we get the requested third floor room :)
