We have just made our first reservation and will be coming over to BCV in April for 11 nights.
There was no problem booking a studio today
We will be celebrating our daughter's eighth Birthday while we are there and I would love to hear your reccomendations of places where we can make this special

Disneyscot,What kind of info are you looking for, park info, restaurants?? Everything at WDW is special LOL!! I love to see people from Scotland, My Mom was born there and my dream is to take my 15 year old son to see it one day.

Post more info and i'll give you my two cents.

I would really like to know which restaurants or character dining would be best.
The whole trip will be a party for us but it will be nice to have a special celebration during our stay

Hi, Disneyscot! We love Disneyworld and enjoy most of what we do, but there are a couple special things we love. As far as character dining, "Chef Mickey" in the Contemporary Hotel is a lot of fun. There is good interaction with the characters and the CMs can really add to the fun. The price and food are fine. The other speical fun thing is the Hoop de Doo Revue at Fort Wilderness. It is so much fun. We loved it, and our group ranged from 5 to 57 years old. This is somewhat pricy, but the food was good and the show terrific (silly but funny and a hoot for all ages!). Have a wonderful trip. Sandie B
PS - I used the word "fun" four times and could have slipped it in a couple more easily. :)

There is also a fun (there's that word again) character dinner at the Beach Club (Cape May) if you like seafood. Be sure to tell the CMS that it is her birthday, and get a birthday button from guest services at MK.

I have to agree here. My son from the age of 8-13 loved Hoop-e doo. Your daughter should love it, and you will too. If you looking for a crazy meal Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge is a hoot!
Character meal we always did at Ohana's at the Polynesian and enjoyed it.

disneyscot we travel from Scotland also, recently we celebrated my son's birthday at Chef Mickeys and I can thoroughly recommend it (remember the autograph book). During that trip we also attended the Hoop de Doo revue which was good also but not a character meal as such.

If you decide to attend a character meal book your time well in advance.

I'm sure your whole stay will be special! But, I can't imagine anyting more special to an 8 y.o. girl than dinner at Cinderella's castle on her birthday!! Find out how soon you can book ahead, and book at the earliest date you can.
