It will be our first time to DW with our diabetic 10 year old. She's on an insulin pump and does great with it. I am just more wanting to know DW's policies on bringing snacks into the parks as I don't want to have to search around and wait in line somewhere if she gets relatively low, I will need to treat her quickly. We also have a 1 year old who will need snacks catered to him. Thanks!

As far as I know as long as it is not glass it is allowed. My son is 11 and a type 1 diabetic with a minimed pump and cgm. We were in Disney back in August for 8 nights. In his bad that he always carries were glucose tablets, fruit snacks, and various lollipops.

Also in that bad I had an extra pump site, tegaderm, meter etc.

Every night I would replenish the stuff in the bag once we got back to the room.

Just soes ya know...even if a place says no outside snacks, you should still be able to bring in a snack for your daughter because of her diabetes. If anyone were to give you trouble for it you should just be able to explain that it's for diabetes. If you feel nervous doing so, you can get snacks at a pharmacy like glucose tablets or gels that are labelled for diabetics and look less like a recreational snack. I've been diabetic for 20+ years and I start to breathe fire if someone tries to deny me rights because of the D. It rarely happens but I'm always prepared for it, lol. There should never be a reason you feel forced to buy a snack for a low if you don't want to!

Moved to better board for WDW questions.

As the other posters mentioned, you won't have any trouble bringing snacks into the parks. They are concerned with glass and alcoholic beverages for safety reasons.
Many guests bring snacks in.

Ditto to this. I have been allowed snacks into places that are very strict about no outside food because of my diabetes and celiac. I've had to pull out my insulin (pump, during a few years) to prove it too.

Disney lets in outside food. I've been there with various snack bars, glucose tablets/shots, candies, and other things while touring and never had a problem or been questioned.
