First trip...which hotel?

Hello!

I am so excited to finally be planning our family's very first trip to Disneyland. I am torn between two hotels, and would love any feedback you may have. The two hotels are The Ramada Maingate and the Camelot inn? Thanks in advance!!

Ooh I have actually stayed at both of these places! Both were perfectly fine. The only thing is that I stayed in an older room at Ramada Inn Maingate, and I think since I stayed in July, they have upgraded them all. Camelot is owned by the same people as Tropicana (where I have also stayed) and I liked Tropicana better (it's also a teeny bit closer) if you wanted to look into that option.

Honestly both are perfectly fine. Not luxury, but not unsafe or unclean. They embody the word "motel"...but the staff was always friendly. Ramada's pool might be a little more kid-friendly than Camelot's as it has some kiddie water features. Other than that I honestly can't say that I could really pick one over they other - they are pretty comparable. Make sure you check out tripadvisor.com and look at the pictures and read reviews....that's how I make all my hotel decisions.
