First trip to paris!

Hi all!
My fiance and I are in the process of planning our honeymoon for May/June 2013 and we have decided on 5 days in London and 5 days in Paris. We are flying in from Boston, MA.

I was wondering about the parks at DLP. How big are they? If we were to get there early in the morning would we be able to do both parks in one day?
Or would it be better to spend one or two nights at the end of our trip at the resorts?

I'm trying to be as economical as possible..but there is no way in heaven I'm missing out on DLP, who knows when I'll be back in Europe!!

I appreciate any and all tips or info. We have not booked hotels or flights yet, we are still in the research process. Thanks a bunch!!!

Congrats Alyssa! My family will be at DLP in June 2013 also (traveling from Colorado) !We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary! We went to WDW for our honeymoon! So I am researching also. I was also wondering if you book your tickets online, do they mail them to you or do you pick them up when you get there? Can I book on the french site, pay in euros. As my credit card has no currency conversion fee. It just seems that the french site has such better deals. Also, just for fun, does DLP give the celebration buttons out like in Disneyland California? The buttons that say "1st visit", "Happy Anniversay" or for Alyssa and Mark. "Just Married".

Cogratulations on your wedding next year (and to the other poster on their 25th aniversary)

The resort is much smaller than WDW but probably a similar size to DL California. Im not sure which of the American parks you are used to.
There are 2 parks and they are both next to each other so no waiting for transport between the 2 and it is really easy to park hop.
The Disney hotels are all withine walking distance as well (the furthest takes about 15mins) but there are shuttle buses as well and there are also quite a few nice but cheaper hotels off site but very close.

The parks are very beautiful especially compared to WDW magic kingdom and there are some unique rides and some rides which are the same but different if you know what I mean. For example Space Mountain is rougher and goes upside down whereas BTM is better as it goes on an island so t=you go through tunnels to go under water.
I think you would struggle to do both parks in one day, even in 2 days.

You can book through any country site - they dont send you anything as you collect tickets when you arrive. All you get is an email confirmation.

And no they dont do the anniversary buttons unfortunately

Most credit cards will charge 2-3% fee for converting from euros to dollars. Capital One Visa does not charge any fee, they just charge the amount in dollars. We have a Capital One Visa with rewards, we can earn miles while paying for our trip.

We will be in Paris June 15-26, and in DLP 17-19!

Thanks for the info! Am I understanding it correctly that the time to get from the center of Paris to DLP is about an hour or so? or is it longer? Is there a metro or train that runs between the two? Just curious if anyone has ever stayed in the parks, but spent most of their time in the city...hmmmm trying to find the most economical hotel that is easy to access the center to see all the big sites....

As before on your other post metros are only zone 1-2 which is Paris and the portes (doors) of Paris. Anything beyond that is RER (similiar to the metro but carry more passengers and have far great distances between each station) and the suburban trains which go from Paris through zones 1-5 and beyond the Ile de France region.

DLP is in zone 5 and it takes 40 minutes once you are in the train to get to Chatelet-Les Halles which is central Paris.

You have trains every 10 minutes or so. You are looking at a 2 hr RER ride every time minimum.

If you want to see Paris the best way is to stay in Paris and experience from within. Choose a central hotel and you are able to walk to many of the sites.

We are renting an apartment in Paris. Much cheaper for us than a hotel, being a family of 5. Yes, we are bringing our 3 college age kids with us on our anniversary trip! Can't imagine going without them. We got a two bedroom on Rue St. Honore', just a stones throw from the Louvre.
