To make the most of the time you have (hey, a Disney fan's gotta do, what a Disney's fan's gotta do, right?):
Read this thread for some really good information and an overview of the similarities/differences between WDW and DLR:
A DLR Guide for WDW Vets.
If you'll be coming from LB, I'd park in the Toy Story lot (which is south of the parks on Harbor -- look at Google Maps). There are free shuttles or you can walk -- depends on how tired you'll be and how much energy you want to save! You'll go through bag check (no glass containers of any kind, no gum, no weapons or anything that looks like one, no selfie sticks, etc. -- info and details on the DLR website). The no bag line isn't always open, so be prepared that you might have to go through a regular line. Have your priorities prepared before you go: what are the top things you want to do/have to do? to see? to photograph? to eat? to buy? Then pick the top 5 "absolute musts" and do those. After that, you can see how many things on the rest of your list you can get through. Are you planning to buy MP? it will be $10 for the day and will include free PP. Download the free DL app now to start getting used to using it. (Don't waste any of your precious time in the park learning how to use the app -- be familiar with it when you get there!) You can buy your ticket through the app and have it ready to go when you arrive. All you'll have to do is go straight to the turnstiles (skip the ticket booths -- another waste of your precious time!). You'll get a paper ticket at the turnstiles -- hang on to this. You'll need this for the FP machines if you choose not to use MP. Also, you can use this to scan at the FP return lines if you want to save your phone battery. I don't know if you're planning on seeing F! (DL's version is pretty unamimously voted the better show). There may not be any FPs left by the time you arrive, so you might want to book a dining package now to reserve a FP for the reserved viewing areas. HB is the least expensive and would give you the most flexibility with your time. If you do the first show, you can stay in your section to view the fireworks, too. If you want to view fireworks from Main Street/the Hub/the castle, book for the second show. You don't have to do PP, but don't write it off automatically. It is a very special ride at DL because it is one of the few original rides that was there in 1955. Don't waste time during the day on the line (almost always long). If you ride it, get in line just before closing and make it your last ride of the night. Exit the ride to a closed park and walk down Main Street (open an hour after closing for shopping). It can be magical to close out the park!
It's Halloween Time in the parks right now -- super fun! Definitely do HMH! The NBC overlay is so good! SM has an overlay, too -- Ghost Galaxy. Use single rider lines whenever you can -- SM's works very well. IJA's is iffy -- FP works better much of the time.
Sorry to dump all this information on you! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! Good luck with your race!
