:confused3 I have looked all over and on the DisneyLand calendar there is no parade or fireworks listed on any day in the third week in Jan when we are looking at going. We only have one day to go and would really like to see a parade or fireworks. Am I looking in the wrong place or do they really not do the parade and fireworks very often? Any help would be appreciated. We are old hat at Disney World but know next to nothing about DL. Thanks!

They are not having any parades or fireworks, unless it's MLK weekend or Presidents weekend, until the end of March. They are repaving Main Street and doing track work so they don't want people on the streets I would guess.

As a consolation, they will be showing F! every night during that time. They will also be showing the Pixar Play Parade at DCA. Sorry, but the repaving project seems to be messing with a lot of people's early 2009 off-season trips.

DangerMouse outlined the specific repaving reason. The more fundamental reason is that off-season visitors are at greater risk for having rides and shows be down.

Bummer you will miss some really good DLR entertainment. Hope your trip is otherwise enjoyable. :goodvibes
