First trip to BWV - Help with room request

We're going in mid January. Staying in a 2BR preferred. I don't know anything about BWV, but I have seen some aerial photos where they have marked off the bw, std, and pref. areas.

Is the parking lot as far away as it appears to be in these pictures? It appears to me that you could be either closer to the exit to the Boardwalk or closer to the parking lot, but that there wasn't necessarily a room that was both.

I know requests are just that. We always ask for a high floor as this keeps the exterior noise to a minimum (I also read somewhere that the high floors at BW were the ones where renovation was complete - is this correct?) , but I'm wondering if there is anything else I should add....

Renovations are scheduled to be complete by the end of February so the odds of getting a fresh room are good. The elevators are near the lobby so it doesn't really matter where your room is unless you like using the fire stairs/exits.
