We are going in 5 weeks and it will be the first trip back to Disney since Covid hit. Usually, we go once or twice a year. There are five of us, my husband and myself and adult daughter and her two teenage girls. Please tell me the things (other than masks, social distancing, etc.) that have changed or that I need to be aware of for this trip. I'm most interested in rides, food and things like that. Also, any tips you may have learned to make this an equally "Magical" trip and not frustrating. Also, are there any shows, parades or fireworks at this time?

The biggest thing, besides masks and social distancing, is that you must make a park reservation for each day. If you have a hopper, you can hop to another park after 2pm. Also there are currently no Fast Passes and no nighttime shows or fireworks. There are no formal parades, but there are pop up "character calvalcades" that you can catch randomly. There are also several hotels and many restaurants that have yet to open, making dining reservations more challenging. Modified character dining has returned in some locations, meaning characters do appear but they remain socially distanced for pictures and do not sign autographs or approach tables. Restaurants that have reopened and previously served buffets are now served family style or plated meals. I think those are the main things...there is a huge thread of recent experiences that would probably help you get a feel for the current environment: https://www.disboards.com/threads/h...g-experiences-including-park-hopping.3807247/

Thanks, ENJDisneyFan, for the info. Anyone know about opening times for the four parks? It looks to me like MK and AK are about the same but I don't know about HS or Epcot. I saw somewhere that Epcot is opening at 11 but I thought the entrance part opened earlier (Soarin, etc.). Anyone know for sure?
