Two of my friends and myself will all be making our first trip ever to Disney World at the end of the month to celebrate our 25th birthdays. My actual birthday will be the Sunday we're there and I'm trying to figure out what restuarant I should pick for my birthday dinner.

I was originally looking at doing the fantasmic package, because I'd kind of like to do somethign special in addition to my dinner, but none of the restaurants that are 1TS seem to be all that outstanding.

If we can get somewhere that's 1 table service credit and allows us to see some fireworks, that'd really be ideal cause I LOVE fireworks, but I'm not sure if there are any.

Basically I'm open to any and all suggestions you can give me! Please help! :)

Thanks!!!

For best food and 1 Credit - I suggest LeCellier in France

For best food on property - I suggest Victoria & Albert's, but they are not part of the dining plan (until you get to the premium dining plan) and there is no view

For just a view of the fireworks - California Grill (2 Credits). I haven't dined there but the view is spectacular.

For best food with a view of the fireworks (that I can recommend because I've been there) I'd suggest Narcoossee's (2 Credits)

Rose and Crown is supposed to have a great view of Illuminations and is just one credit. I haven't dined there because the menu doesn't appeal to me, but you may want to check out the menu on allearsnet.com and see if it appeals to you.

If you are interested in a Fantasmic package, I think Mama Melrose is only 1 TS credit, but I haven't eaten there. The Brown Derby is very nice but is 2 TS. Illuminations is also a great nightime show and any of the World Show case resturants are typically fun and special. Wishes is probably the best nighttime show in the World. You could do the Cinderella's Royal Table (2 TS), Tony's, or O'hana prior to the fireworks.

I second the LeCellier recommendation (it is in Canada, not France, at World Showcase). You could have early enough dinner and be outside for 9:00 Illuminations show.

Thank you for the correction! That's what I get for posting tired. I definitely meant the TS in Canada and NOT France. :goodvibes

My favorite restaurants are Raglan Road, Cali Grill and Le Cellier.

If you go to RR a little later (8pm ressie), they have a band and dancers and then you have the night life of Pleasure Island.

You could dine at Le Cellier and then go watch Illuminations.

Or, spend the 2TSs and go to Cali Grill...

Whatever you decide, have fun and Happy Birthday!!!

Hmm, so it sounds like the consensus is to skip Fantasmic(I think there's a night when it's got two shows anyway so we'll probably do the later show then), which definitely helps in deciding.

These were all great suggestions, and now I'm just deciding between Ohana and Le Cellier. For those two, where would I go after dinner to watch the fireworks? Is there a particular area close to each of those restaurants where I can see the fireworks best?

Thanks again for all the help!!!!! I really appreciate it!

I also like Le Cellier but I don't know if you'll get adr's at this point. Really anything in WS is a good choice depending on your preference in cuisine.

We're going for my 30th b-day next month and I have booked Crystal Palace for breakfast and then dinner at Cap'n Jacks at Downtown Disney. We should be done dinner early enough to head back to MK or Epcot to end the day with some fireworks.

Whatever you decide have fun and Happy Birthday! Soon you'll be old like me ;)

Thanks for everyone's help and the birthday wishes! We ended up booking Ohana's...our ADR is currently a tad late at 9PM, but I'm calling back every day to see if we can get it just a little earlier.

Thanks again for all the help!!!

outside of a park, i would definately pick raglan road.
in world showcase, our top picks are tutto italia, chefs de france & coral reef (CR is where i chose for our 25th anniversary dinner) ~ all are excellent:thumbsup2
we've eaten at LC a number of times, & have found the food & atmosphere good on a poor-fair-good-very good-excellent scale (service has been consistantly very good), but not worthy of a "special" visit in our experience.
hth :)
