Our very first family trip to The World is planned for June 10-18. This is my first trip back since 1984 (I know...way too long!) This is a big family trip and I want to make it perfect. The cast will be DH, Me, DS10, DS8, Mom, Her friend, MIL, FIL. While my IL are relying on the "words of wisdom" from their travel agent, I have been relying on the "WORD" from all of you on this board (of which, my information is MUCH better!! :rotfl: ). My mom has also become very enthralled with this and is looking stuff up on her own and has also bought two books to try to "keep up with MY information!"
Anyway, could you all please look over my tentative itinerary and give me advice? (BTW, we have MYM Dining)

Day 1: Arrive (approx 2:00) and unpack and explore CBR.
Dinner: PS Concourse 7:40 advice to view Wishes

Day 2: Snack in room for breakfast
AK - EMH
PS Breakfastosaurus 10:10

Head over to MGM for Star Wars
Walk or take ferry to Boardwalk for dinner (is this possible?)
Head back to hotel

Day 3: Breakfast - in room or at hotel
MGM - Star Wars
Lunch: CS (any recommendations?)
Dinner: PS Sci-Fi 6:10
EMH

Day 4: MK
Breakfast - hotel
Lunch - CS
Dinner - PS Tony's Town Square 6:30

Day 5: swim in morning
Lunch - hotel or head to EP
Dinner - PS Le Cellier 6:30

Day 6: Totally Unsure :confused3
*thinking of going to Typhoon Lagoon for the morning. Head
back to hotel to clean up and hit DTD to DQ and shop. Dinner DTD.

Day 7: Lounge at hotel and swim in morning
Head to EP - World Showcase (as VetteChick put it "Boozin'
and Grubbin'")

Day 8: Head back to MK
Lunch CS
Dinner - PS CRT 6:45

Day 9: :sad2: Pack up
Breakfast at resort
Leave :sad1:

That is the same week we will be there. We are staying at POP June 9-13 and then CBR 13-18.

I think you have a great start to a plan, and with a group as large as you have, you may not want to micromanage the entire trip. You may want to split up at some point if your kids want to head to the park but the grandparents do not. Just be flexible and enjoy your time.

I know we are looking forward to Star Wars weekend (my DH is a nut for it). We really enjoyed Sci-Fi, and I think you will also.

One thing I see missing is EPCOT. For my family, it is a MUST DO! My daughter was 7 when she first went and she loves it more than MK. Your kids are the perfect age to enjoy it. They have so much for the kids to do, and the adults will LOVE it!!!!! Please try to work in atleast one day of EPCOT if not more. I think you will be glad you did.

Your itinerary looks fun. Are you not planning to go to AK? If you are there for a week I would try to visit AK for a while (I love the park.) You can either walk or take the boat from MGM to the BW for dinner. I would walk as I find it quicker.

We have EPCOT planned for Tuesday and Thursday. Thursday is set aside for the World Showcase.
I see that you will be there at the same time...want to meet up?

We are planning to visit AK on our first full day. Then work our way to MGM for a part of Star Wars Weekend...then for dinner, wander to the Boardwalk

Sorry I did not see Epcot on you list. I sent you a PM with our itinerary. Lets see what we can work out.
