Heya guys. I'm going to WDW in September (8-12th) as a solo traveler. I used to go every year growing up with family (this will be my 15th time to disney) but this is my first time going in about 8 years and this is my first time going solo. I'm a 27 year old male, but will always be a Disney kid at heart. My question is simply, what has changed since I last went down, and what should I look into doing as a solo traveler?

Any tips you can give me would be awesome. I'm not a newcomer to Disney, i'm just looking for the lowdown on good shows and stuff to catch, and things to check out that I may not have in the past. Also if anyone has any tips on special things that might be happening during my visit dates, whether it is closed attractions or special events, that would be great to know as well.

Thanks a bunch in advance guys!

I'm also going solo from August 21 to Sept 11. I went back last year for my first time in 11 years. There were some changes, but not too much. Of course new Fantasyland is open at MK. Spaceship earth and Test Track have been updated at Epcot. Dinoland and EE at DAK (maybe that was before your last trip). DHS has Lights, Motors, Action, Toy Story Midway Mania and a few minor additions.

As far as the time-frame for your trip:
Jungle Cruise will be closed at MK
The first Mickey's Halloween Party of the season is on Sept 10
If you're staying on-site, EMH has been scaled back a bit
MSEP will be running on select nights at MK

Hope you have a great trip, and if you're anything like me, you'll love going solo.
