We are going to Disney World in February (week after President's Day) and I was planning to take my daughters (9 and 7) to Universal for a day to see the WWoHP. Is one day enough to see it? Is one day enough to see most of Islands of Adventure? Would we be better to check out of Disney a couple of days early and check in to Universal to have 2 full days? I know my way around Disney with my eyes closed, but this is all very new and overwhelming!

i suggest a split stay.
do the motherland resort first, then switch to the darkside resort.

it will be like you are having two separate vacations!

you will be able to cover both parks staying on site with 2 full days to do the parks.

I was there in February (same week) and lines at Universal were very short. We did IOA in half a day (then it was on to WDW). I feel that we could have done both parks in one day, but it would have been a stretch. Rule of thumb is one day for each park.

Does Universal have a Magical Express equivalent or a shuttle to the airport?

not yet but people do use the Star Shuttle.
it stops at various hotels.

you need to secure your seat on this shuttle in advance.

i usually advise to go with car service for rt set up.
faster and many of them meet you at the luggage location in the airport.
