Just wondering what your tips are, must see's etc for a first timer?

I'm not talking rides as I have my list of those but what about shows, things around the park not to miss, i know i've seen some really lovely shots of things like the Snow white & 7 dwarfs statues that i want to see, so what else?

ETA: will just be my and my boyfriend both in our mid 20's :)

It's been awhile for me but Im watching this post :)

Is it just you? Or kids too? Im taking DD to BBB! I hear thats pretty awesome

Must see's.......in order of importance greatest to least: Fantasmic/Fireworks [these tie as both are not to be missed], Electrical Parade, Aladdin, Pixar Parade, Celebrate a Street Party, HSM Dance Something...:lmao:

The wishing well by the Snow White statues. The wishing well at Minnie's House in Toontown.
When standing in line for Peter Pan, Look up at the window over the Snow White ride. The evil queen will be there.
Buy a Dole Whip and eat it in the Tiki Room

There will be more I'm sure!

Thanks, i've seen pics of the Electrical parade and it looks so nice just a shame it isn't on when we are there :(

Where to start? LOL
The plaque over the tunnels, must read
The windows on main street celebrate Special people to Disney and they are beautiful.
Listen @ the dentist office door
Watch the candy makers making candy on main street and critter country's pooh corner
All the little pathways that move around the castle.
The little doors by the teacups.
The patios and courtyards in NOS
Listen by the mint julep bar you'll hear a woman talking :)
That's just a smidgy :)

Aside from the obvious hunting for Hidden Mickeys...

Take a look at the ground in Frontierland and see the 'hoofprints/horseshoe prints' etched into the pavement (for effect)......

Look at every single tree and plant/planter/foliage in Tomorrowland - every one of them is a vegetable, fruit or herb, and it is great fun to spot and identify them all!!

Look at the pavement on Main Street for little spots that look like squashed wads of gum - those are actually put there deliberately to act as sensors for parade floats to help direct the floats along the route!

Walk around the DLH and see the different topiaries, waterfalls, koi ponds, mini-remote controlled Jungle Cruise boats and the great memorabilia wall display in the lobby.

Look at the Hidden Mickey in the GCH lobby's grandfather clock - it is hard to spot at a glance. You have to really stare at the clock face!!

Look at all the different weather vanes around Fantasyland and ToonTown.

In A Bug's Land, listen for the random 'bug sounds' that occasionally can be heard from behind certain bushes or plants. My friend was startled by one of the sneezing or munching sounds!!

Take a look at all the bathroom signs around both parks - they are all themed to each land or ride/area and some of them are very cute, such as the ones in A Bug's Land and ToonTown.

I could go on.....I will keep thinking!!

This thread is great I love it!!! I am going solo and always look for neat things to see and do!!!

Touch the apple out in front of the Snow White ride. After you get off the Jungle Cruise, ask for a map (they will give you a map of the ride).

You have to have a turkey leg! They are the best thing ever. There is a stand On Paradise Pier that sells them. The two of you can share it, they are huge and worth every penny!

I remember having one of those in WDW, very yummy :)

Really? I didn't know this! DS would love a map of the Jungle Cruise. That seems to be his favorite ride right now and he's really into maps right now too. Who do you ask, the guy who helps you off the boat or is there someone else?

I did not know this either!! I'll have to get one next time, one more thing for the scrapbook! :thumbsup2

Yes, just ask the CM that helps you off the boat. There is a counter just to the left of the exit and they have them back there. It's a single sheet of paper with the map of the ride on it. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I'll have to remember to ask for that next time.

Also, Kayla's Mom, I have to tell you that my DS loves your ticker with the different colored mickey's. Every time I'm reading a thread and one of your posts is on the screen I have to stop there for a long time while he looks at it. He doesn't let me scroll down! :rotfl: He says "I see pink Mickey" or " I see red Mickey". There are a couple of other people's siggies he likes too but yours always gets his attention! :rotfl2: (okay, that was completely off topic, sorry!)
