First timer with cruising with kids questions. Help Please!

We will be doing the 3 day cruise in late May with another couple. Between us we have two 3 yr olds, an 18 month old and a one year old . Questions are:

(1)How do you handle carseats for the Nassau shore excursion?

(2) Do cell phones work on board? We were thinking of sending the men to make Palo reservations while the women go to the nursery, but we want to make the Palo night our priority request at the nursery.

(3) What is the pricing info on the family pictures? I have seen some folks here with some really cute pictures with the characters.

(4) We are in rooms 2132 and 2134, any thoughts on them?

I'll try with what I can:

1. Car seats probably won't be able to be used on any shore excursion since there will be a large group and you'll probably be in a bus without seatbelts. So, you'll either have to hold the children, or if you're uncomfortable with that, don't go. The taxis in Nassau are mostly vans and some do and some do not have seatbelts. We did the Blue Lagoon beach excursion and it was awful. I wouldn't have considered any other excursion because of the car seat problem.

2. Our cell phones (Cingular) worked on board while we were in port, but not at sea or at Castaway Cay. If you don't have a national plan you will be charged roaming fees.

3. You can buy a package for I believe $80 which includes 10 pictures, otherwise they are $9.95 each.


4. I stayed on deck 6, so unfornately I can't help you with your room location.

We have stayed on deck 2 both times and found that it was very nice. We did not feel the movement of the ship at all. Just check to see what you are under, the first time we were under the night club and heard the music all night... the shio gaves us ear plugs and that worked. The next time I booked in the middle and everyting was wonderful.
