(First timer) waitlist question

OK, so I called on Sat. morning to reserve a studio at BCV for Aug 16-23 and was told the 18th was not available. Booked a studio at BWV instead for same number of points and waitlisted the BCV studio. JUST now looked at our acct. on the DVC website to be sure the point totals looked right etc. and it says our ressie is for Beach Club Villas!!! Does this mean our wailist came thru already?! That quick?! Really? Wow??!! (MS is closed today for MLK so cannot confirm with them...)

OK, so if this is for real and we got BCV is there anything I should call and request for as far as the unit location or anything?? Are all the locations pretty equal as far as view & promixity to the pool etc.?? Also, does BCV have "real" glassware and coffee mugs or do I need to request that at check-in??

Good for you! Enjoy your BCV stay, and the studios do have mugs and glasses. Then there's paper plates and small paper bowls. My particular best location is looking at the villa pool/canal, but I've had woods view and enjoyed that as well. Only once did I have a room that I felt the noise from the road that I heard on the balcony was disturbing. I don't make any requests, I prefer a room that is ready when I get there, and I usually get one then or within an hour.

Thanks...I thought that must be what it meant. I am still shocked it said that already!! I am hoping this is a good omen for this trip...still hoping to add 3 n in an OVIR at VB on the back end (calling on Friday morning). I just found airfare for $130 pp RT (direct) on AirTran and went ahead and booked it! (We also had a $112 credit coming to us with them so we're flying for $311 total out of pocket!! To get this price I had to take a flight down that was earlier than we were going to book so our room will not be ready yet (arr. at MCO at 9:25) but we'll deal with it. We'll stow our stuff with Bell Services and head out. But I am PSYCHED!)

Guess I need to go change my ticker to reflect BVC not BWV!
