First timer question, which Park?

This will be our first time at Universal. Dd and I are huge Harry Potter fans. We are only going to do one day at Universal due to time constraints. Which Park should we do? Which one has more of the Harry Potter themed? Sorry in advance for asking a dumb question, but I know nothing about Universal.

It’s a tough call because Universal has far more to see in WWOHP but the castle is in IOA. Ideally, you’d get park to park tickets and do both plus get to ride the Hogwarts Express (go in both directions as it’s different). If you can’t do park to parks, go with Universal. Loads more shops plus Knockturn Alley, the Knight Bus, the dragon...

I might be going against the grain here, but we love Hogsmeade so much more than Diagon Alley. Maybe because Hogsmeade was 1st, but it's a very special place.

It's true there are more shops, more eateries and more room in Diagon Alley. But it would not be HP if not for the Hogwarts Castle and ride. I have gone through the castle many times. Sometimes just the castle tour with out riding, sometimes in the single rider line to see the different areas and the regular queue many times.

If you can do the park to park pass and take the Hogwarts express to see both sides, that would be best.

That's such a hard choice to have to make. We love both HP lands however, we like Diagon Alley a little more. The other thing to think about is to look at each park as a whole. You may be done earlier and be able to hit other rides that you would like. We like more rides in the Studios so that is a bonus for us if we had to do one HP land.

I have to agree with pp that if you could do both parts and the HE that would be great!

Which Park is Diagonally Alley in? I would love to do both parks, but it would be a thousand in just tickets. I for sure would like to also ride the Jurassic Park ride , but not sure which Park it is either.

Universal = Diagon Alley. Jurassic Park= IOA. Park to parks are more but worth it, imo, if you’re only budgeting a day to visit Universal and are a HP fan.
