We will be there on Dec 28 and 29th. Me, DH, DD (14) and DS, (12).

We're not even going to WDW. We're giving Universal a try!! Do I need to make reservations for lunch or dinner? I'm completely at the mercy of all of the experts!! Please give any suggestions!! Thanks in advance!!

If you want to eat at a sit down, I'd make a reservation. Easy to do online or call. That time of year, it will be busy. Counter services can also get jammed, so try to eat at off times. Try to find bathrooms that are off the beaten path, as they can be jammed too.

And since Citywalk and the hotels all have some good restaurants, don't discount them, if you need some time from the parks. All are 10 or so minutes away from the parks.

Check the food stickie at the top of the forum. It will give you a good idea of the food available at each restaurant, so you can see what ones interest your family and which may not.

Get to the park before it opens. US generally opens 15 minutes or more before official. Do, Minions and the coasters first. They tend to get longer lines as the day goes. Look at the maps for the two parks and get familiar with what you want to do and see. The shows, the pet show and monster make up show are both very good. Take your time, and enjoy the little things though. With two days, you can get to almost everything.

Great info! Thanks so much! I will make some reservations right now.

We will be there before opening for sure!!

Yes, I would make reservations for that time. It is probably the busiest time of the year at the parks.

Are you staying onsite?
