I need advice on the must do Table Service Restaurants for Disney World. We are Disneyland veterans and taking our two kids, Boy age 11 and girl age 7, to Disney World staying at the Yacht Club Club level for 9 nights. We like to do one nice sit down meal a day and I would like to get my ADR's going as we are going in June. This is a last minute trip but a big trip for us coming from California so we want to do it right. I love all the info on this board and there are so many great places to choose from that I need help from the veteran's on the must not miss table service restaurants. Thanks in advance for the help.

Congrats on your trip! I would say you definitely need to eat at the Yachtsman Steakhouse since you are staying there. Food is incredible!

If you are looking for something fun, go to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue and at least one character meal. I recommend a breakfast with your favorite characters.

Ohana is also a fun experience with really good food.

I could go on and on but will stop now and let others chime in!

Assuming you are NOT on any dining plan:
Shula's
Blue Zoo
Flying Fish
Citrico's
California Grill
Il Mulino
Jiko
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Artist Point

That's your 9 nights!! Should note that Shula's isn't particulary kid friendly, so if the kids can't consume all that adult food, then maybe substitute Brown Derby, or Fultons.

I suggest that you go to the official Disney World web site and go to the dining tab. Put in your date and then breakfast, lunch or dinner. It will return all the restaurants still available for that date.
I suspect you will find limited availablity. Folks can make dining reservations 6 months in advance and the most popular theme park and resort restaurants book completely well in advance.
It doesn't make a lot of sense to gather recommendations here, only to find out that that restaurant is not available at all.
Once you see what is still available you can then ask for reviews of those restaurants.
Good Luck

Teppan Edo Japanese restaurant in Epcot. A wonderful experience for children and adults alike. Don't worry if your children are picky eaters, they will find something they like.

Akershus, also in Epcot. More likely to have reservations for a character meal. Portrait comes with meal and then Princesses come round for individual pictures with your own camera. Very personal. Starts with a cold buffet (yummy) and then a hot meal and dessert. (Norwegian).

Consider lunch time or just after or before, rather than dinner when the kids aren't so tired for your sit-down meals. A nice break from the heat.

You are going to hear all sorts of answers due to all the options WDW has to offer. Different strokes for different folks. For every restaurant that someone tells you they love, you will find someone who says they hate it. You could end up more confused than when you started. Take everything you read on the boards with a grain of salt.

Are you looking to do just signature dinners? Are you looking for breakfast/lunch as well? Are you interested in character meals? Are you looking for good meals that aren't signatures? A little bit of everything? The best thing to do is to narrow down your choices. Then maybe when you are torn between a few places, set up a poll since you are more likely to get more responces.

There are also a couple of websites out there that have menus (not all 100% current) that should give you a pretty good idea of what restaurants will offer. allears.net and themouseforless.com are both pretty decent resources to get an idea of what the menu might have as well as prices. :thumbsup2

I agree with Hoop dee doo, California Grill, Flying Fish. On our upcoming August trip with little ones, we are looking forward to Sanaa, Captains Grill, and Garden Grill (for the kids), as well as HDDR.

My suggestion to you would be to check out the menus at allears.com and see what interests you. I also enjoy reading other's reviews at the website and on the disboards. Its really easy to make dining res online once you are ready to do so.
