We are going in April and are going to do CRT for dinner as it should be reopen then. It doesn't look like you can book it online do you have to call?

How long does dinner at CRT last? I have a res for 9:15, am I going to make it to Wishes at 10:00??

The fireworks from inside the castle are lovely. You will probably just be getting your entree shortly before the fireworks.
Been there, done that.

Is there any way to request a table near the windows so we get a good view? This was supposed to be the one night on our trip that we were going to see them. Looks like a change of plans is in order!!

I dunno. We got a window table by chance. It was a large table and we were only 4. Originally I booked 8:30 with the thought of getting out in time to see the fireworks. We were an hour late being seated and ended up there for fireworks. My child was asleep across two chairs for half the princesses who resumed meeting after fireworks. Turned out to be the best meet and greet we had. Pictures with sleeping child and each princess wrote a quick signed note in addition to signing her book. Their idea and it was awesome.

If this is your first trip to WDW & this is your only chance to view the fireworks then you should know that you won't actually see the fireworks from inside of CRT. It is lovely to see the lights from the fireworks through the windows, but you will mostly miss the show from inside. If you will see Wishes earlier in the week, then seeing them again from inside CRT is fun--but don't count on watching the fireworks from inside CRT.

You can ask but a lot of people will be asking. You might see them from afar but not really good view at all.

If it were me, I would look for an earlier ressie (good luck) or just drop it and enjoy Wishes!
