HI-
I have booked a trip to OKW in May. We are staying in a 1-beedroom and honestly booked OKW due to the low points and availability. We have stayed at SSR and Boardwalk thus far and loved them both. Although I am a bit nervous about this ressie not having stayed at OKW, i am also excited because I eventually would like to stay in all the DVC resorts. Anyway, I have 2 kids age 7 and 4 and we would like to spend some quality time at the resort enjoying the amenities. I hear community hall is great. We woould like to stay close to the action (pool, ch, and restraunts). CAN SOMEONE RECCOMEND A BUILDING for me? Also, would like to visit DTD so would like to be close to the boat launch. How often does this run? Thanks

Looks like buildings 23,24,25,26, and 62 according to Disney's map would be best bet. How are the balconies/ patios. The balcony at SSR was great but I was VERY underwelmed with Boardwalks.

We have stayed in bldgs 23 and 62 and both offer phenomenal views. Both are within a stone's throw to the HH and the main pool/boat launch. But, keep in mind...just because you make a request does not guarantee you will get it. The past few years we have not gotten anything close to what we have requested. Hopefully with P and PD we will this year!!! The 2 bldgs I mentioned above are our favs. I believe they overlook the pond by the bridge. I don't think you will be disappointed with OKW. That is our home. We have never even toyed with the option of staying anywhere else but OKW. The rooms sre much bigger than SSR and Boardwalk. I am sure your kids will have fun, too!

We are going to be staying at OKW for the first time in April. Like the OP, I would also like to be close to everything. My kids are 14 & 11. I'm not sure which bldg to request either. When we booked the resvervations we requested to be close to the main bldg but....we'll see.

I have to agree with bldgs 23 - 26 -- you could even add 27 as it's as close as 26 to the center of things. We've stayed in bldg 13, too, and found it convenient although there was much more traffic to watch out for when walking over for the pool, etc. simply because it's by the check-in area.

My boys are 9 and 10 -- they love the pool and the community hall at OKW. We've stayed at SSR and there are things we like about SSR better, but there are things about OKW that we enjoy as well.

We'll have our first 1-BR stay at OKW in March... we've requested buildings 23 - 27 :) We'll see how it goes.
