We are going to be in FL the week of July 28th and are planning on doing a 2 day trip to Universal. We are planning on spending one night at a deluxe resort so that we get FOTL access both days. My first question is what 2 days would be the best...I would think 2 week days but does it make a difference which ones? Also, since the train between the parks (sorry I don't have the proper names committed to memory yet) will not be a part of the FOTL access and that would be the main reason to do the park to park tickets vs base tickets, does it make sense to spend the extra $132+ for the 4 of us to have park to park tickets? Any other benefits to park to park tickets?

It is going to be packed no matter when you go in July, but staying onsite will relieve alot of the wait times. The parks at Universal are literally NEXT to each other, making hopping super easy and super convenient. The Hogwarts express is not only a mode of transportation between the 2 parks, but also an attraction in itself.if you are 100% sure you wont be interested and dont want to spend the money, just get single park tix..i will tell you that we always get the park to park.it is that easy to go from one park to another

I guess my main concern will be that the wait time for Hogwarts Express will be so long and really that would be the main reason for the park to park tickets.

The wait WILL be long, but I have no doubts that it will be well-worth it..You can wait and see and upgrade to park to park when you are there, Keep in mind that many people may have the same idea or dont know they will need the park to park ticket so I imagine those lines may be long too

disneydka, if you buy 2 day base tickets and decide to upgrade to the PtP tickets, do so on the first day at the parks.

when you upgrade a pass, it is for all the days on that pass.
even if you only need one day of the pass as a hopper.
