I have ressies in all star music for a week in May. Myself ,wife, three small girls, and grandparents. I would like to know which rooms are closest to : the food court, the pools, and the bus stop. In addition is there a store in the complex to purchase items such as snacks, refreshments, toiletries, groceries. If you have any suggestions please comment. Thank you for any advice , I have gained much knowledge from these boards.

Your girls will love ASMu! Yes, there is places to get those items, but you'd be better off bringing toiletries & stuff from home as they are expensive at the resorts. If you are flying in and using a towncar service from the airport to ASMu they will give you a half hour grocery stop.

The location closest to everything is Calypso bldgs...they are the preferred location. Did you pay for preferred location when you booked? If not request the Jazz buildings, we had them last year and it wasn't far at all and they don't cost anything more.

Request Calypso building. It was not considered preferred when we went there, but even for $10 a night more it would be worth it.You will love it!The pool is right there(and the laundry building),food courts, game room, bus stop and souvineer/gift/necessities shop.

This shop has everything from Mickey t-shirts to milk.If yopu are going to buy milk to drink,it is actually cheaper in the store than in the food court(at least when we were there). They have Tylenol, razors, underwear(yup:o )soap, snacks, milk, juice etc....All this is located in the back of the store if you enter from the check in area.

Hi joevob & Family,

We my DH & I and DD have stayed at ASMu 3 times . It is hands down our favorite value resort. Would stay there in a heartbeat. I think with your small girls you should request to be in the Jazz part of the complex.

It is close to the main pool but just enough away to make it quiet enough for your stay (I have read staying by the pool can sometimes be noisey) althought I never have.
But in all honesty no matter where they put you in this resort you will feel very comfortable. It is a great family resort.
Not to mention it hs those gas lanterns which make it very serene.

Have a great vacation,

DH and I stayed in the Calypso building when we were there last May. We were on the backside and it wasn't noisy at all. It was just wonderful being so close to the foodcourt and so close to the bus loading zones. DH could leave our room and be to the bus area within minutes...and I mean 1-2 minutes at the most! :jester: I don't recall paying any extra because of the convience of the building, however I did purchase my package through DU Travel Agency. No matter how much money I have, I will always chose the Allstar Resorts. They are convienent, cheap, and quite nice for the price you pay. :smooth:  Good luck and have a blast! :sunny: :sunny:

We stayed in Broadway, which was a pleasant walt to the food court/main pool, nice and close to the other pool, and very quiet.

The policy of charging extra for "preferred" room locations is new, personally, I wouldn't pay it unless you have mobility issues; none of the buildings are more than about a 5 minute walk (with strollers and gear) from anywhere you'd want to go.
