First timer - a few questions

We're going to IOA for one day - probably Friday of next week. It's our first time as we are devoted WDW fans. I'm wondering about a few things....

1. I know there is baby swap available...is there a standard procedure, or do I just ask the ride attendant or staff member at the beginning of the line what to do? (Is it typically a swap at the exit, or is it really different at every ride?)

2. If we do baby swap, will they let our older child ride with both parents? (One parent stays with the baby while older child and other parent ride - then switch parents but the child rides again)

3. Is there anything like Disney's FastPass?

4. Are there any fireworks shows or special nighttime shows to look for?

5. Since we'll just have the one day, I'm wondering if we'll be able to hit most of the major attractions. What do you think?

I can only help with one of your ?s fast pass = express pass for universal :jester:

I think I can answer some of your questions:

1. There are baby swap rooms or areas at each ride. For example, there are separate rooms for Fire and Ice Dragon which are located where you exit the ride, and there is an area with benches where you load and unload at Popeye's. Just ask when you enter the line where you need to go.

2. Yes, they will let the older child ride again with the 2nd adult.

3. IOA offers the Universal Express Pass similar to Disney's plus they offer a Universal Express Pass Plus for a fee. Read about it here: http://themeparks.universalstudios.com/orlando/website/what_new.html#

4. They did have fireworks nightly but I believe they ended Aug. 9. Check the website for the hours for the day you will be going. I have read that they have really shortened the hours in Sept.

5. Depending on the hours the park is open and when you get there, you should be able to ride everything there.

Have fun! It's an awesome park!!

Well here goes....
Yes there are baby swaps, but it does change from ride to ride. Definitely check with the attendant first. For example on ET it was where you board.

Yes they will let the sibling ride with both parents.

They do have Universal express as well.

As themepark said, you are going to have a wonderful time.

Enjoy!
