First time waitlisting....chances???

We decided to try 2 waitlists for 2 nights starting Oct 31.....studios at either Poly or GFV. What are the chances?? It is our first time ever waitlisting but I did request up to 7 days prior for the most chances. I have a room at Riverside booked just in case but I wanted to surprise kids. I'm hopeful.......

Well, I think that your chances for VGF this close in are slim to none. Sorry. I'd love to be wrong on that. Your chances would be far better to include either SSR or OKW as your 2nd w/l as those resorts are huge. Just be the sheer numbers your odds would be improved.

Other than the fact that VGF is the "flagship" resort, there aren't a ton of studios and DVC foolishly sold small initial memberships so those new members with tiny amounts of points have no choice but to book studios. They go super fast. Good luck to you!!

Thanks. I thought the same with the GF. I had WLV initially waitlisted so maybe I'll switch back. Our home resort is SSR which we love but our last 2 visits to OKW were really not that great. Decisions.......
