First Time Wait Lister

Hi, we are returning to WDW for our second trip this year. Our 7 month mark is coming up to book for the week of 3/16-3/24 (8 nights). The Poly is currently open for all those days. However, GF is available for most of the week, but not on the last night. DH really wants to stay there, but does not want of the hassle of not knowing if the last night will be available. So, if I book Poly, can I waitlist for the week for GF? How would I go about doing that? Would I lose the nights at Poly if those start coming through? I want to make sure that the whole stay is available first. What are the chances that we will get it? Also, if I want to purchase one-time use points, do I purchase prior to booking the stay? Can you designate when you book, which points to use first? Sorry for so many questions. This is our second time doing this and first waitlisting, so a little clueless! TIA!

Agree, book the GF. Waitlist the last night and stalk the website. The night will probably openup. I would also have a night booked at another resort for your last night as a backup. Disney makes it really easy to transfer fro resort to resort. While not our preferred plan, we have done it a few times and they make it really easy.
