Is it better to rent one for 5 days from a company instead of getting one at the parks. If yes, any good suggestions as where to rent? Where do you park them when you are riding a ride? How will we identify as our so it doesn't get stolen?

Totally new to this so thanks for any suggestions you can provide me!!

I go to Disnelyland a lot and rent a wheelchair for my Mom. For 5 days, I would probably rent from an offsite place since the Disneyland ones can only be used in the parks and DTD so you may still have a long way to walk back to a resort.. I have used Deckerts in the past, but they cannot leave a wheelchair delivery at the hotel now. If you want one that can just leave a wheelchair, look into Scooterbug, as they can leave it at the Disney resorts. In my search on Scooterbug, their prices to rent a wheelchair are higher than at the park. I have not had a chance to call Deckert to see about how it would work with meeting someone.

Once in the parks, you can take the wheelchair in most of the lines. Cast members will direct you where you need to go and where to park the wheelchair. We keep a backback and a towel on our wheelchair, so ours is always easy to pick out if parked among several. If you rent at the park, you will have a name label on the wheelchair too.

Deckert's gets consistently great reviews on the DLR board! I don't think they have a website -- just call the number.
