First Time Visit This summer

I am a long time disney passholder and was planning on spending a few days at Universal Orlando during my trip down this July. I have been to Universal in LA several times but never Orlando. For those of you have that went during the soft open. Do you think it's worth doing as a first time visitor or should I wait till 2021 when the parks are back to normal? Thanks!
