What do I need to take with me? We are going for a long weekend with 2 kids (11, 9)... We are staying in a 1brd..
We have the dinning... and annual passes.. not sure what I should or have to bring with me..

Any suggestions?

We always bring

Cereal
Coffee filters (Mr. Coffee Basket)
Ground Coffee
Sugar (just a small tupperware)
Salt and Pepper
Laundry Detergent (travel sized or from the dollar store)
Dryer Sheets
Microwave popcorn
Peanut Butter
Jelly
Travel snacks for the parks (granola bars, fruit snacks, rice krispy bars)

(We usually haul home the popcorn, half the snacks, abandon most of a small jar of peanut butter and half a jar of jelly and some of the cereal)

We buy when we get there (just at the little store on site because we don't buy much)

Milk
Half and Half
Eggs
Bread
Butter

I bring most of the same items as Crisi, but I always bring or buy water (gallons) for making the coffee.

Yes, you can buy wine - and small bottles of hard liquor as well, and beer - the selection isn't extensive and the prices are a little steep compared to the liquor store, but if you don't have a car, prices aren't bad.

Also, there are several places to buy bottles in Epcot. Italy and Germany both have nice wine shops.

I wanted to order yogurt, bottles of water and bananas from an online shopping site, but between the price of the items (more expensive than at home) and the fee for shopping and delivery, I decided against it. Although we are the type to bring a few snacks from home and not eat them, because we want disney food/snacks when were there.

We did order a case of water from Costco for $7.90 delivered. That I know we will use! :)

I understand that they provide clothes detergent (small) when you get there? Is that right? Does the store sell bleach?

Does anyone know what type of wine.. I normally drink red.. should I bring a wine opener?

Dining plan....annual passes....kids over the age of hanging on your leg....

I think you have everything you need. It's just a long weekend. Travel light and enjoy the freedom of not packing lots of stuff, lugging lots of stuff, taking back lots of stuff.

My dream is eventually to take a vacation where I just need a carryon ! Don't think I can ever manage that but I'll keep it as a goal. The longer we do DVC the less we pack !

If there is something that you just can't do without...ie your favourite coffee (the DVC one is not everyone's favourite) then bring that, otherwise just enjoy. Don't overdo as you will be back many times !

I remember our first vacation as a lot of smiling and laughing....Can't believe we are set to come back here again and again and again....We felt so lucky !

I am only packing one bag for 3 of us (ok its a very big bag!!), but its a hard thing to do, considering I am used to packing 5 or so at time.. Just enough outfits to make it for the 4 nights...

I am excited to see Saratoga Springs.. and I am bringing a friend's child who has never flown nor seen disney...

Its all good.!:goodvibes
