First time using Fast Pass +, is it worth it to try for 4, 5 or 6th fast pass?

This is my first time to the world using Fast Pass plus. Is it worth it to try and get a 4, 5 or 6th fast pass? Does it save time or is the line to get them and back tracking make it not worth it? I am traveling in the second week of May. Crowd levels of 4 and 5. We always heavily utilized the old FP system. What is a smart way to use the new system? Thanks for your help.

I'd would have said no if you asked me yesterday.
But today I was in MK. Crazy busy. We used our FPs and then went to lunch. By the time we were done the lines for everything were crazy. Small World was an hour. So we got on the line for the Fp kiosk ... It looked long but we figured we'd bail if it took too long. We got to a kiosk in five minutes. The cast member there handed us a paper FP good for anytime for Philharmagic - which is usually a walk on but was 30 minutes after lunch. And we booked a 2:20 FP for Laugh Floor which was 45 minutes at the time. So, it saved us 75 minutes and allowed us to plan it so that we could get that done, see the parade and exit the park....

We have had great luck getting additional FP+ at the MK at less busy times -- we got 8 one day, including all the headliners. Just make sure you know where the kiosks are and swing by as soon as you use your current allotment. Each location has lots of kiosks and helpful CMs to keep things moving along. If you have a smartphone with the MDE app, take whatever options look decent at the kiosk and then use your phone to look for better choices. Often, you can find an additional FP+ for almost immediate use.

It's hard to say if it's worth it simply because you have to go thru the process just to see what's available. You might wait in a kiosk line for 20 minutes and only get Stitch. Or you might walk right up to a kiosk and get Space Mountain.

The higher the SB waits are, the less likely it could be "worth" it and you'd probably just save time standing in the SB line of the attractions you think are left (Stitch, Mickey Philharmagic,The Great Movie Ride, Figment, etc.).

On crazy busy days like today it might be worth waiting in a kiosk line for anything you can get.

If don't mind waiting in the kiosk lines .. yes .. why not?
Would you rather wait 10-20 minutes in a kiosk line or wait potentially longer in a standby line.

Just try and plan your 3rd fast pass to be near a kiosk .. that saves time.
Also plan your fast passes for the morning so you can get that 4th one right away with plenty of time left in the day.

Honestly, they don't have enough kiosks in the park (especially MK) to accommodate people getting the 4th or 5th FP (probably on purpose) .. so they can be pretty crowded.

How I found it useful is that you can send ONE person to the kiosk to book the FP for your whole family. I would just jet over to a kiosk while my family would relax or stand in line to get something to eat or drink or watch some show.

The downside to these kiosks? Other people. Some of them are in awful congested places (like the one in FantasyLand). You'll get a group of (I kid you not) 8-10 people trying to crowd around a kiosk to decide what each of them want. You'll get people that have no idea what they want until they get to the kiosk (like my dad at a fast food place).

Question while we are on the subject of this. Ex. I have 7DMT for 7-8pm as my 3rd fast pass. If I cancel one of the other ones during the day instead of using it will it let me get another one or do I have to wait until after the 7DMT one. EX. We have Splash Mountain but may not need to use the FP+. I don't think this is off topic so hope I am not hijacking the thread with this.

Last trip I had used all my FP+ at MK and I was wandering around. POTC was 20 minutes wait. I walked over to the FP kiosk at Jungle Cruise and asked what was available quickly? The CM said "POTC is available for right now?" So I got a FP+4 for POTC and walked back and past everyone I had just seen 5 minutes before still standing in line, albeit a little closer. I felt kinda bad, but only kinda. THis happened to me more than once on that trip.

We were there the first week of August last year and rarely used a 4th (or more) FP. We plan to use them more strategically this year, now that we know the system. We found that the only park that really had anything available (that you needed a FP for) was MK. We were able to grab a Fantasmic! FP about 5pm so we didn't have to wait for the show, that was nice.

I think it's worth it. On a very busy day, the longest I had to wait in FP kiosk line was 5 minutes, even if it looked long. They had CMs with tablets adding FPs in addition to the kiosks to speed it up. Those lines can look deceiving.

Also, while some can be very busy, others can have nobody. The ones by Stitch had a long line, and Frontierland had nobody there, for example. We did 6 FPs that day (Saturday after Thanksgiving).

Absolutely! I used like 8 over spring break in MK one day (solo and willing to do whatever was open soon).

At MK, yes. At the other parks, maybe not so much.

We did this with Buzz! Got our 5th FP+ for Buzz, walked through the queue and rode it, kids immediately said "again!" We went over to the Stitch kiosk and booked Buzz again with a window that opened in about 7 minutes, utilized the ability to use a FP+ 5 minutes early and walked right back through the line past the same people in SB again.
