My wife and I are WDW vets and last week decided to make a trip to DLR. We will be there 3/18-3/23 and go to the parks Saturday through Tuesday. I have read lots of tips on the board and through most of hydroguys threads. I have a few specific questions.

1. How are the wait times for Space Mountain during magic morning?

2. Is it possible to ride Matterhorn, Alice, Mr. Toad, Pinocchio, and Snow white during magic morning? If so, what order would be optimal?

3. Is it possible to ride space mtn, star tours, matterhorn, buzz during magic morning? Would it be possible without doing buzz?

4. Favorite quick service restaurant?

5. Best tip for a first timer?

Thanks so much!!

Speaking to the first two questions: Space is pretty quick on MMs, even during a busy time like Spring Break, when you will be there. However, you can generally do all of Fantasyland easily during MM, and then go to Space and still get on pretty fast, when the initial rush is down and before the main crowds have arrived. Or if the line is already backed up by then, the FP machines will open up right at regular park opening, and you can pick up a FP that will be good in about 40 minutes.

For Fantasyland, you didn't mention Peter Pan (my favorite!) but it's generally the one that builds a line the fastest. The mantra is usually, "Peter Pan first, always first!" A good order would be something like Peter Pan, Alice, Matterhorn, Toad, Snow White, Pinoccchio. If you want Dumbo in there, usually somewhere after Alice or Matterhorn.

Best tip: get to the gates 30 minutes before opening and line up at gate 13 or 20. They have a tree blocking and the one line feeds into two kiosks, going faster than the lines around them.

We rode Space, Star Tours, Matterhorn and a couple of fantasyland rides during our MM end of February, it was a Saturday so it was at 7AM which should be what you experience during your visit. We were first at the gate though, which helps - if you are quite a ways back it can add some time getting to those first rides you want so whatever you do make sure you are there at least a half an hour or maybe even earlier before the early entry. I am sure security lines will likely be even busier then so make sure you have time considered for that. Space will show a return time of 10 minutes right as MM opens and will likely grow to at least 30 minutes plus by the end of MM.

Pinocchio and Snow White are very low lines almost all the time, it's normally Peter Pan, Alice, Toad and Dumbo that have any sort of line in Fantasyland.

The best tip I can offer is to use fast passes to their fullest potential. That means getting one as soon as the park opens, then make sure you always have one in your hand the rest of the day, unless of course they have all run out. To do this you want to pull a fast pass as soon as the park opens (regular park opening, no fast passes are distributed during EMH orr MM). Then pull your next fast pass and so on as soon as you are able - it will be written on your fast pass when you are able to pull your next.

For example: Pull a FP for Space at regular park opening - you will likely have a return time of less than two hours, once that window opens, say 9:30 is your return time, then pull another Fast Pass before your ride Space since you will have a full hour return window, don't wait until after you ride it to then go pull one because you want the clock to begin ticking on that next fast pass while you are riding using your current one. If you pull a return time which is greater than 2 hours then make sure you pull your next one right at the two hour mark. Keep track of fast passes that are not connected - the two park systems are not connected, so you can pull a FP for Space and someone in your group could hop over to DCA and pull FPs for RSR, this takes far less time than you would think to do, we did it a few times. World of Color and Buzz fast passes are not connected to the system so if you are getting Star Tours FPs then pull Buzz too, (they are the two fast pass machines to the far left - looking out into the park from the fast pass machines). That and show up EARLY!!

Have fun!

Thanks so much for the replies. We are really looking forward to our trip. I can't wait to see cars land.

...The mantra is usually, "Peter Pan first, always first!"
While "Peter Pan first" is often a good strategy, another approach is to skip Peter Pan and ride all the other Fantasyland attractions during Magic Morning.

Don't miss Storybookland Canal Boats and Casey Jones Circus Train, these Fantasyland attractions are generally not open during MM.
