First time trip to Disneyland!

So excite this is going to be our first trip Disneyland. My DD age 21 and myself will be going. She had been saving and surprised me for Christmas. We have AP tickets to DW and go at least twice a month but our dream to go to DL is going to finally happen. We will be going April 18th. I am hoping on getting some great tips on the must see and do things to do while we are there. Suggestions on hotels. On and offsite hotels. Thanks for all you help!

You will get a lot more responses in the Disneyland forum. This is Southern California Theme parks - but, there is a specific one for Disneyland only.

Onsite hotels are very expensive. There are many close by walkable hotels/motels. What types of things do you require in a hotel? Will you have a car?
