First Time to WDW, need a little help.

I'm still trying to decide about Tour Guide Mike. What kind of information does he give?

Thanks so much!

TGM's has a great "least crowded parks section." He's spot on 99% of the time. I have been to WDW atleast 10 times and have a pretty good understanding of the parks and the FP system. That being said, I feel TGM has the most accurate information as to when to go to a park. He states the busiest and slowest parks of the day and why and when you should go. From that point on I say just wing it. Just remember to utilize FP's and try to get to the parks at opening. I know that may sound daunting to young folks like ourselves, but it is totally worth it. You'll find that you can get half of MK done by noon and go have a nice lunch and relax for a couple hrs. Whatever you do...just take it all in. It's truly the happiest place on earth.

Thank you! I planned our days accordingly to what the Unoffical Guide said about the crowdedness of each park on each day. I have a feeling in the next month or so, everything will easily fall into place.

Take advantage of fast pass for the headliners. If it is really busy you might have to get to the ride for fast passes as soon as you enter the park. Personally I am a fan of winging it, but I do use the Unofficial Guide to plan before I go. I have never gone in Peak Season (too cowardly).

As a couple without children along, you should be able to cover the parks without any problems. Don't forget to take some time out for romance. A walk around the Boardwalk can be very romantic, and a glass of wine in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower can be nice too. Disney can be very romantic. Take the boat from MGM to EPCOT, it slows you down, and you can cuddle  for a while and review your experiences.

Check out the other resorts by having dinner there, you might come across one that you would love to stay in.

In June, I would seek out the air conditioned spots, indoor shows and such.

How I would love to have been at Disney when DH and I were young and foolishly in love. Have a wonderful vacation.

Aww, thank you. That is so sweet of you to think of the romantic side of the trip. It will be nice to be able to just relax together. :) Thanks for the great tips!

We are from Texas where the average summer temperature is well over 100 degrees daily. The heat does not phase us. :smokin: hehe. Hopefully this factor will help us at the parks!

wow i love this thread because I get so many great tips to! We'll be there for valentines day so we will be able to hit all the romantic spots and then let you know all about them!

For romance, I always thought it would be nice to go to California Grille at the Contemporary right during the fireworks show at MK. Even if you didn't want to pay for a full meal, you could make a ressie and just order appetizers or desert. They can't stop you as long as you order something!

Don't know where you are staying, but the Port Orleans resorts have carriage rides if the evening. We watch them going by from our balcony. Ahhh, those were the days!
