This will be my first time going to any Universal or Disney park! Leaving Tuesday!

I'm Rhonda and I'm 25. As you can see in my signature, I'm finally able to go to both Universal and Disney World! While Disney World isn't until next year, I decided to plan a quick trip to Universal. I'll be going with my sister, Crystal, and we will be staying at Royal Pacific Resort. Well this past week we decided to also go to MNSSHP...On our arrival day. That is the only time we can go. It's probably crazy since we won't arrive until 6:40 PM. I feel kind of weird going to the Magic Kingdom for the first time just for a few hours during MNSSHP. We are also doing HHN, so I just wanted to experience both Halloween events.

Our plans:

Day 1 (Tuesday, 9/24) - MNSSHP (I hate that we arriving late though)
Day 2 (Wednesday, 9/25) - Islands of Adventure
Day 3 (Thursday, 9/26) - Universal Studios - HHN (Stay and Scream)
Day 4 (Friday, 9/27) - Going back home...

I already know we are going to be so tired because I want to stay until midnight for both MNSSHP and HHN. Also, since we are staying at one of the resorts, I wanted to do the early admission for Harry Potter...

My trip report will probably be mostly pictures. I also got Photo Connect.

Any advice is welcomed! :thumbsup2

You must be so excited, Tuesday will be here before you know it. You're young, you should be able to handle a few late nights and early mornings. You can catch up on your sleep when you get home. No advice, just wanted to say have a great vacation! We aren't far behind you ... leaving Wednesday! :)

Congrats on the Universal trip...I'm sure you'll have a grand time! :thumbsup2

Thank you! Yes I was telling my sister that. We can just catch up on sleep afterwards. Hope you have a great vacation too!

Congrats on the Universal trip...I'm sure you'll have a grand time! :thumbsup2

Thank you! :)

This plan look extremely fun, crowded with fun :thumbsup2
Looking forward to see your post and photos of this awesomeness :)

Sounds like loads of fun! Ds and I were excited just seeing the decorations for HHN during the day so I'm sure the actual event will be amazing. :thumbsup2

Yes it was cool! I loved how it looked at night. I did not get to do all of the houses though. I should have got express. I don't know how people do without it. Lines got so long and I was tired.

Day 1 (9/24)

We arrived at MCO around 6:20 PM. We took a taxi to RPR, checked in our room, picked up our park tickets and express passes, then left to Magic Kingdom. Right as we got to Magic Kingdom it started to rain. We decided to go on some rides first. The rain didn't last long though. After we took a look at the new Fantasyland, we went to go meet Jack Sparrow. He was making us laugh so much that we only have one picture of us actually looking at the camera.

After that we went to go watch the Villains show. Well it was canceled. Also didn't get to see the headless horseman. So we just watched the parade. (Pictures are from my video)

Well after the parade we waited for the next Villains show. It ended up getting canceled as well. I didn't understand why they announced it being canceled right at the last minute when just before they announced it was about to start. The villains still came out to take pictures though. My sister and I got in line for Captain Hook, who was right in the middle.

After that we got in line to meet Jack and Sally. They closed the line soon after that and it was already pass midnight when we finally got to meet them.

After that we left back to our resort.

Day 2: (9/25)

We walked to IOA and arrived just a little after 8 for Early Park admission to Harry Potter. We went and picked up our star card and took our first picture.

The first ride we did was Forbidden Journey. The wait was 5 minutes. I really loved this ride.

Next, I rode Dragon Challenge and it was a walk on, front row. My sister had gotten a little sick from riding FJ so we left to walk around. We took some pictures in Jurassic Park.

Then we rode Spiderman. Walked on and rode in front. We both loved this ride.

I then rode the Hulk. Took about 10 minutes but it was because I wanted to ride in the front row.

After that, we then went back to ride Jurassic Park River Adventure. We were the only ones riding.

It was around 11 when we went to go eat at the Three Broomsticks. The food was good and I really liked the Butterbeer. We then took a break. My sister was still feeling sick so we stayed in our room for quite awhile. When we went back to IOA we did some rides at Seuss Landing. Everything was basically walk on. After that we went to see Poseidon’s Fury, then rode Bilge-Rat Barges. Still no wait, except we did wait a few minutes for the next showing of PF. We also rode Spiderman again with no wait. I had wanted to ride FJ again but my sister had gotten scared on the ride so I decided not to. We went to go see our Photo Connect pictures and then left back to RPR.

Day 3 (9/26) Part 1:

We did a lot this day so I'll just start off with some of it. I'm working a lot this week so trying to add while I can.

We got to US at opening. The weather was great this day. It actually got pretty hot in the afternoon.

Our first ride was Despicable Me. No wait. I thought it was a cute ride.

Then as we headed to Transformers we saw Megatron. There was no line for him so I just stared at him for awhile and he pointed at me and said something like just the sight of me sickens him. I thought it was cool. Then people saw us with him and started getting in line so we left to ride Transformers. We loved the ride.

Then I rode Rip Ride Rockit all by myself...It was cool.

My sister does not like roller coasters but I made her get on The Mummy. She got really scared on this ride. I loved it!

To be continued...

Day 3 Part 2:

After the Mummy we decided to do Twister. It was ok. Then we headed to MIB. We were the only ones riding again.

After that we headed to Springfield. Before we rode The Simpsons ride we took pictures on the sofa since no one was using it.

Then we rode Twirl N Hurl and took pictures with Krusty the Clown and Sideshow Bob.

It was around 11 when we ate at Fast-Food Boulevard for lunch. No one was really in there at that time. I ate a Krusty Burger and my sister got a pizza. We both liked our food. Then we took some pictures around Springfield.

I'll post another part tomorrow.

Great report so far.

I see you used photo connect. Did you like it? was it worth it?

We are trying to decide if we want to get it on our November trip or not. Were there enough people doing the pictures for you to make it worth it?

I think it's worth it. I have 50 pictures from photo connect and I could have had even more but our first day I didn't use it as much.

There are people at the front of each park and then outside of US to take pictures with the Universal globe. You can take multiple pictures with them.

The ride photos you can have multiple too.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket
Revenge of the Mummy
MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack
The Incredible Hulk Coaster
Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls
Jurassic Park River Adventure
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey

For the characters, most have photo connect. The only ones who didn't have a photo connect person when we went were with all the Simpsons characters. There is also a Jurassic Park spot, the Spiderman newspaper, the Simpsons couch, and the ET spots that are with photo connect.

The reason I got it was because I wanted all the ride photos and to have some pictures with my sister and I since I'm the one who usually takes the pictures. If you don't plan on doing many of those rides it might not be worth it since the other pictures you can have them use your own camera. Well except for those photo connect spots I mentioned.
