First time to DLRP - A bit overwhelmed!

Hi all! I hope you can be patient with me. I will be accompanying a family to Europe this coming August, and it's our first time leaving the United States. They suggested spending 1 night and 2 days at Disneyland Paris, and they recruited me to get all the info because I know everything about the American Parks. Unfortunately, this park is completely new and different for me! We're already spending a lot of money going to Europe for 2 weeks, they wanted me to get the best possible deal...

I priced out the Hotel Cheyenne, 6 people and 2 rooms for 1 night and 2 day tickets without transportation and the total came out to roughly 1,133.00 EURO... how can I bring the price down on this? Is there a non Disney hotel that is just as convenient and has transportation to the parks but is cheaper? Could someone point me in the right direction? What else would I need to book besides this? Any help would be appreciated!

If the 6 of you don't mind all being in one room, you could try the Thomas Cook Explorers hotel. It's offsite, but is served by frequent free shuttle bus service. If you book this through DLP directly, park tickets will be included for both parks for you all for 2 days (1 night stay). If you book the hotel independantly, you will need to purchase park tickets. It often works out cheaper to book a package with DLP

There may be better offers on the DLP UK site - however these are often only on the on-site hotels.

Just had a quick look at Magic Circus Hotel and Travel Republic are showing 2 interconnecting rooms, 6 persons in total, 2 Nights 7th -9th August for 504EUROs. You will need to add park tickets to that to get a comparable price.

Hi there! Right now it's looking like we'll be there August 14th and 15th. And I appreciate you pulling up the Magic Circus prices! That knocks off a couple hundred so it's in the right direction!

Thank you so much! We definitely don't mind being in one room - the rest of the trip we're looking at staying in hostels! I just pulled up the prices on the Explorers hotel website and the prices are awesome! Would I need to call Disney to book that package or is there an option on the website I'm not seeing?

you wont need any transportaion from cheyanne hotel to the parks, its only about a 10 mintue walk. but there is a free shuttle bus from all disney hotels to the parks

There may also be cheap park tickets you could use on FNAC etc, and put the package together yourself.

ie use FNAC/multiavantages/promoparcs etc to get your 2-day park tickets per person, then book the associated hotel of your choice (Explorers, Magic Circus, Dream Castle, or Kyriad) independently either through their own individual websites, or on an agent site like hotels.com, travelrepublic, alpharooms etc.

There is no difference in the service you get doing it this way, and you could save yourself a lot of money over a Disney put-together package.

I pride myself on doing trips on a pretty tight budget, so could not resist the challenge to try to source your planned visit to DLP a little less expensive than you had feared.......

Less than 1 mile from Disneyland Paris is Citea Magny Le Hongre Hotel. A night there for 6 of you in an apartment there would be as little as £126 on the 14th August or £144 if you were to have a 2 bedroom apt. Buses go from outside to the parc.

ce multi avantages have a promotion running where you can buy a ticket for both parcs for 2 consecutive days for 56 euros adult and 46 euros for 3-11 year olds.

Basing the figures on 6 adults having a 2 bed apt (i.e. the most expensive options) this works out at approx 543 euros (think that is approx $725) . I think that is a lot better than over 1500 euros!

The etap in Val D Europe is around 60e a night and sleeps 3 in a room. It's right next to a train station and is a 3 minute journey to Disney. The trains go every 15 minutes.

It's only a couple of years old and whilst it's basic, it's very clean.

You can get park tickets in advance for 41e per day (Billet Francillien). They sometimes have special offers on which might make it cheaper.

Hotel: 60e x 2 = 120e
Tickets: 82e x 6 = 492.
Total = 612e.

That brings the price down quite a bit.

I really appreciate this! What are the prices for the train and how early and late does it run? We are hoping to be able to stay at the parks from open to close if possible.

The RER costs 1,75€ per ticket (one way) from Val d'Europe to DLP. They run from around 5.20 am until around 00.30 and it takes less than 5 minutes station to station.

There is a train every 10 minutes approx.

You can buy a carnet of 10 tickets which works out about 20% cheaper than buying them individually

the free shuttle to all the associated hotels (Kyriad, Dream Castle, Explorers and Magic Circus) runs every 20 minutes of so from 6am until midnight, so yes, you could be in the disney parks from open to close staying at any of those hotels .

It is really very easy to catch the RER to the parks as the disney train station is right outside the park entrance and the trains are very regular and fast too. We had no problems last summer getting the a train to be at the park for 8am and getting a train back after park closing.
