We are planning on visting DLR for the first time in April after many visits to WDW . How would you compare Matterhorn Bobsleds to Big Thunder Mountain. Big Thunder is about as wild as I go. I do not like large drops (although I did try Spalsh Mountain-which I probably will not do again).
Is Grizzly River Run about the same as Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom. It seems a bit on the wilder side. How bad are the drops they talk about and how many large ones are there. Are there any "Fun for the Little Ones" rides that you also enjoy as an adult?
Thanks

I haven't been on the Matterhorn in several years because it gives me a headache. Big Thunder Mountain doesn't jerk you around in that same way so I like it better. Not sure about the thrill factor of it since I haven't been on it in awhile but I'm guessing Matterhorn is tamer than Big Thunder Mountain since it's an older ride.

There are a ton of rides that are fun for adults and kids. I guess it depends on how little the kids are but Peter Pan, Dumbo, Pirates, Monsters Inc, Buzz, Toy Story Mania, IASW are a few that come to mind.

Grand River Rapids is actually supposed to be a duplicate of Kali River Rapids (or other way around), but for some reason, I thought they were different.

Matterhorn is jerkier and BTMRR is a smoother ride, but if you can do BTMRR, then you can do Matterhorn, because the drops are quite small.

Matterhorn doesn't really have big drops but I am with the prev poster - it's very jerky.

Grizzly River run is a LONGER ride than Kali River, and in my opinion, it's way more fun. We were really disappointed wiith Kali. The drops aren't crazy, I don't think. Before you go on the ride, watch it - the big drop at the end is right there in front of the ride - that way you can judge for yourself if it's something you want to try. But we always have fun on this ride, we always get wet, and we always make new friends! Enjoy!

KRR and GRR are not supposed to be the same. They have a completely different layout (GRR has 2 drops, KRR has 1), different boats, different themes, different everything (although GRR is much better IMO).

Aha.

Well, somewhere back on this board, someone utterly convinced told me that both layouts are the same. I did specify that I did not feel they were the same rides, but whoever it was seemed pretty sure of themselves.
