First time to Disney World

Random question. My family will be in Disney Word for the first time in June. We are not used to the high humidity and high temps. With that being said any tips for wearing make up especially with having to still wear a mask. Any tips or suggestions to try and prevent it from all sliding off my face.

Would wearing one of those women's sun hats that cover your face make a difference to keep your face and head cooler?

Disney in the summer is like being in a sauna on the surface of the sun. Here's what I do:

No makeup. I wear sunglasses and a hat most days anyway. The sunglasses to protect my eyes, and the hat to keep my scalp from burning. Add the mask, and you really won't be showing much of your face at all.

I plan to bring several disposable masks per day so I can change them out. Bacteria will get trapped in there, so having a fresh one once in a while is good.

We shower at night after a long day in the parks or before dinner if we are going back to the room before dinner. If I shower before dinner, I do wear makeup to dinner.

Don't wear it. Get a good tinted moisturizer/BB/CC cream, a little blush, waterproof mascara and call it a day. Also grab some differin gel to use at night to help combat "maskne"

Add me to the list of those who just skips wearing makeup while at Disney. I've tried but it looks far worse after an hour than my face does without any.

Strong, long-wear foundation (Estee Lauder Double Wear for me - can't just go with any old base), a good setting powder (I use Laura Mercier) and a setting spray on top (Urban Decay All Nighter). Blotting papers and a powder compact in your bag for touch ups mid-day where your mask or sunglasses touch your face, and a travel fan aimed directly at your face as much as you can!

SuperGoop Glow Screen is an SPF with bronzer in it that I LOVE. Plus a nice waterproof mascara; that’s all I wear in the parks. I also used an anti-fog spray on my 4YO’s glasses that helped immensely. We used mask necklaces so the mask could just fall around our necks when not required without fear of losing them. I am a NUT about my skin, so I wore a cute baseball cap daily. So did my girls.

I wear sunscreen and a foundation which is lightweight and has SPF in it. Always sunglasses, sometimes a hat. I may put on some eye shadow and mascara for dinner but depends where we go. I've been living in GA for 5 years now.. I'll tell you what happened to me when we went to a baseball game in July. I had full makeup on (I don't wear a lot but the usual....eye shadow, mascara, etc.) It was so hot and humid that day. Just waiting in line to get into stadium, I was a mess. Mascara running down my face. Foundation coming off. It was all supposed to be water proof, sweat proof. HA! Never again.

I'm just going to throw this out there. I'm a guy who doesn't wear make-up at all whatsoever. So take this for what its worth.

But, I've done WDW in June. After about 30 minutes in the Florida humidity and heat, I look like sweaty, gross disaster. And so do many other guests, frankly. Come June, in Florida, we're all in this thing together so trust me when I tell you there is a lot implied empathy between guests when it comes to the heat and humidity.

No makeup.. cooling towel and water bottle with a spritzer. And a neck fan. Also a cooling neck band but I used it on my wrists. Went to the restrooms and ran my hands under cold water and it was great for awhile.

Prone to heat exhaustion so I'm always over prepared but it works for me.

No makeup, especially with a mask. I always wear a cap and sunglasses so with the mask on there is no part of my face you can see. To be honest, I never wear makeup at WDW even pre-masks. It's hot and sweaty and hot and humid and hot. Did I mention it's hot. I always wear a ball cap to protect my face and always wear sunglasses so even without a mask all you see is the bottom part of my face. Oh, I also don't have pictures taken of me, just don't like them.

I just do foundation that has sunscreen in it (Maybelline Urban Cover is excellent (nice and light but good coverage) and cheap) and tinted lip balm when at Disney. You could do a setting spray over your foundation but with masks I don't bother honestly. I do the foundation to cover up old acne scars and hyper pigmentation, otherwise I would go make up free!
