At the last minute we have decided to fly to denver (cheap fare) and then dry to Park city.We were going to drive to Park City originally and now are switching gears and have very little time to make arrangements. Can anyone recommend a hotel for one night and any car rental deals?

No idea on the car rental deals, i'd check online. But for staying one night in Denver, i'd try for a hotel downtown. Somewhere near the 16th street mall would be nice. But if don't want to be in Denver, you gotta drive through the mountains to get to Park City anyway, then why not stay in a mountain city resort for the night like Keystone.. I LOVE Keystone. In late summer you can usually get good rates for the hotels up there. Have fun! My inlaws live in Denver and I lived there for a year when dh and I first got married, I loveeeeeeeeee Colorado.

hmmm-keystone is WAYYYYYYYYYYY out of the way if you are driving to Park City. I wouldnt stay downtown cause its expensive and a hassle-since you will need to go north out of the city i would try the sheraton Greystone castle at 120th and I-25-its usually a good value and its right on the freeway so you can get out and head to Park city-the most direct route being I-25 to I-80 and then west to park city. the suggestion of staying in keystone is not a bad one-but will add any where from half to a full day to your drive-its probably 9 hours to park city from denver by the shortest route and going to Keystone is about a 3 hour drive from denver
